Worked as a recognized storage device on IBM POWER systems
I obtained these for use in an IBM Global Education lab to use as alternate IPL devices for AIX, IBM i and Linux boot images for IBM POWER systems. Since most bootable images were originally around the 4GB limit on DVD, these USB flash drives worked well. When the boot images went over the 4GB limit, the extra space was needed and worked flawlessly. The low profile was great because they do not protrude so far where they might easily be knocked out of position.
