  • Dust cover to prevent dust contamination during building works. Up to 12 alarms from same manuurer / range can be linked together. No radioactive content.
  • Fitted ket on back of base plate. Class II double insulated. Earth "park" terminal included in base. Manufactured to BS 5446-2:2003 KM645618. CE approved.
  • Dimensions: 140mm diamter x 70mm deep.
Heat Alarms are recommended by British Standard 5839-6 for use in areas where a smoke alarm may be prone to false alarms, e.g. kitchens, garages, loft spaces, boiler rooms. Heat alarms should not be used as the sole method of fire detection but should be included in a system that includes appropriate smoke alarms. Deta’s heat alarms incorporate the latest thermistor sensing technology, which is the most advanced method of heat detection. This is from the new range of Deta alarms. These alarms ARE NOT compatible with previous ranges of Deta or any other brand of alarms, therefore should only be used in new installations. These alarms can be installed, along with linked smoke alarms to provide a fire detection system to comply with British Standard BS 5839: Pt.6 Grade D "System incorporating one or more interlinked mains powered smoke alarms and heat alarms (if required), each with an integral stand-by supply". Wiring requirements:- 1.0mm or 1.5mm 6242Y Twin & Earth cable to the first alarm position, then 1.0mm or 1.5mm 6243Y 3 Core & Earth cable from the first alarm position to the second alarm and so on in a "radial" or "daisy chain" type circuit arrangement.
