My new favorite
Very good for protection, didn't cause any break out, confortable to wear, very light and does not give me any additional shine. Does not interfere with my make up performance. It does leave a white cast, but it's not too bad under make up so it doesn't bother me, but would not recommend for dark skin. Budget friendly.

I would suggest this product
On my 2nd bottle of this sunscreen and I am pleased with use of this product. I live in south Texas and have been on the beach regularly on my weekends and it provides great protection from the sun rays. I also use several products on my face for maintaining a youthful look. This product does not burn my eyes or face when sensitive after a retinoid streak. I also feel that this product is reasonably priced. It has a thin texture that is easy to apply and rub into the skin.

Good sunblock for oily skin
Really light consistency, spreads on thin. I use this on my oily t zone, as it’s too drying on my dry cheeks but it’s perfect for drying to a matte finish on my forehead so for you oily skin types, this works really well. Wears well under foundation, it dries to act like a primer. I am fair skinned but for darker skin tones, this mineral might have a slight white cast. For me, it’s not a problem especially since I wear foundation. Be sure to shake it well before use!

Can't believe a mineral sunscreen can go on so well! But it does! It really does!
I have to use mineral sunscreens as I am pale as a ghost and was diagnosed with melanoma a few years ago. Luckily I'm clear of it now, but if you develop one melanoma, you have a very good chance of having another one. Mineral sunscreens' active ingredient (usually zinc oxide) does not degrade in the bottle or on your skin and it provides both A & B coverage. So I slather it on every day, rain or shine,But oh what a slog. I have been through so many. It's usually like smearing not quite room temperature butter over your skin, it's impossible to blend in and feels like a sticky mess. Trying to put on makeup over is not much fun either as it either grips it and won't allow you to blend it, or it smears all over. And I know I'm white as a piece of paper, but these sunscreens are whiter than me. And it shows. I've found a couple of good ones over the years, but they always change the formula to add something like Alumina - which has given me terrible chemical burns (I'd prefer a sunburn) or Octocrylene, which has been identified as a health hazard and is actually banned in some countries. While Etude Surprise has neither of these ingredients, I felt like kicking myself when the bottle arrived. It was sooooo small. For $17.00? I was mad at myself for not checking how much product I'd get.Now I am SOOOO glad I did not check because I never would have bought Etude Surprise and I would have missed out on this stellar sunscreen. You have to shake the bottle to be sure the product is well mixed, but once you do it comes out as a light liquid - which seems wrong because most sunscreens are so different - until you apply it to your skin. It smooths on and spreads to cover brilliantly. No white cast at all. It dries down (and after just the right amount of time so you can cover your skin easily, but still put on makeup right away) to....well, what looks and feels like your healthy natural skin. I suppose it's slightly matte, because I wasn't greasy like a pig or shining like a disco ball. But it didn't feel dry or tight, just comfortable. And I don't think I've put on makeup this easily, using such small amounts, with full color and coverage payoff - and absolutely NO smearing or stuck clumpy product. I look beautiful, if I must say so myself. This will be my sunscreen forever (unless they change the formula) and I beg them never ever to do such a thing!

Holy grail sunscreen!
What a pleasant, light sunscreen. I find other sunscreens like Anessa, Neutrogena, CeraVe, and La Roche Posay too oily for my face (no matter how much they claim to be non-greasy). Chemical sunscreens like Biore look great, but the alcohol can smell strong and be a bit drying in colder weather. This sunscreen is JUST RIGHT! I've never had a physical sunscreen sit this lightly on my face. Sometimes I'll use setting powder on top for a more matte finish, but I can also wear no powder and still feel glowy, not greasy. I love it!

Tried & true from a skin cancer vet
Where do I begin?! My favorite mineral sunscreen! I’m super sensitive and this is easily tolerated. No white cast and layers on well under my makeup. There is a very light scent but not one of a chemical sunscreen. I’ve reordered this several times and will continue to do so!

White cast and pilling
I like how this sunscreen feels on the skin. Hydrating and kind of a satin finish. However, even as a super pale person, it leaves a very obvious white cast and pills with all face lotions and makeup. Honestly, wouldn't recommend.

Americans ruin another good thing
Ice purchased this a few times and it has been great. Solid sun protection that was light weight, fragrance free, non sticky, and didn't leave a white cast. Not a great moisturizer, but perfect under makeup. And affordable. Then I bought it again. This time, everything on the bottle was in English, and it smelled like sunscreen. (Why did sunscreen have to smell like that anyway? This is a decision that someone made and we are all stuck with...) it is still much lighter than TJ's new mineral sunscreen, but theirs is fragrance-free. Where does that leave me? Spending a small fortune trying to find a replacement since this no longer really works for my sensitive skin.
