Great product, works well
Really liked this train set. It works well on my wood train track, has a lot of power to make it up hills, is very durable (it has taken a beating from my 1 year old grandson and is still in great shape), and looks nice. Only negative is that the magnet connections drag when not hooked up. My track is screwed down so it can sometimes hang up on a screw. To fix that I put electrical tape over the screws. All in all, nice product.

Bad tunnel design, good train head.
Update.I realized that I had made a mistake. The tunnel has to be used with a special part shown on 2nd pic to fit all railway parts. And I found it.---------------------------The train head itself works fine and my kid enjoys playing with it. However, the tunnel design is very disappointing. Normally, a railway piece should have one male connector on one side and one female on the other, so it can easily connect with the rest of the track system. Unfortunately, this tunnel has female connectors on both sides, which makes it almost useless — you can't directly attach it to the standard track without some kind of workaround or extra adapter.Very frustrating for something that should have been such a simple and standard design. If you’re buying this set expecting a fully functional tunnel, be aware of this serious flaw.

Won't fit under bridge
My son adores this train but a few issues to please fix.The engine will not drive under the bridge without getting stuck. This is on the universal wooden track system and bridges that all kids use and start with. The other two trains fit, but engine does not clear it and gets stuck then my son cries. Also sometimes it doesn't have the power to go up the ramp to the bridge, most times it does though, I guess when batteries are running low.I personally feel that if this was USB rechargeable, then it would be a lighter weight without having batteries inside of it. And also could hold more power.Another issue with the battery compartment is the screw that holds the cover in is the tiniest screw in the world..I mean it's like maybe 2 centimeters long. After you Change the battery just a few times the thread where's off and it no longer will screw to hold the cover on. You just keep spinning the screw. I ended up having to tape the cover with electrical tape to get it to stay on now after changing batteries each time. Also, my son threw the train and the screw is so tiny that the cover literally just popped off and the batteries flew out. How long are screw is needed and wider as well. Also like I said if this was supposed to be rechargeable. That would be much better. It would also render the train lighter and could go up bridges easier and pull more right behind it and reduce the load.8 timing shut off feature would be nice so if it runs for maybe 10 minutes. Then it shuts off because my son lets it go. And it runs behind furniture and where's itself out. You will want to use rechargeable batteries with this. For that reason otherwise you are wasting batteries all the time.Good notes are that my son is obsessed with this train. The magnets work well. It has a light which my son enjoys and it makes cool sounds and it goes forward and in reverse.. If the engine top would just be made shorter, so it could fit under the bridge that would be great.. The other 2 trains fit under the bridge. So if they were all the same size as the other two cargo containers, that would be perfect..I had to buy a second one due to the issues with the screw and battery compartment coming off. This time around, I just taped it in the beginning to prevent it from ever falling off and unscrew the screw very gently when changing batteries but overtime, the screws still strips in the plastic and doesn't hold..

Works good on wood rails
Works with IKEA LILLABO. Kept my 1.5 twin boys enthralled for 30 minutes the first day. The caboose wheels needed some oil due to a squeak, but no other issues. I do wish the sound effects were randomized instead of push button only, but it's still great to have.
