Did not find it as nourishing as the original Cantu Gel, which gives much more volume to hair. Scent is a bit overwhelming

Not a gel
I usually buy the custard but thought I would try this. It made my hair very tacky . It’s more of a cream than a gel. No cast . Good as a moisturising cream but do not expect a cast from it as isn’t strong hold gel.

No flakes. No crunch
One thing cantu got right about this gel is there’s no flaking, at all. No crunch either. It’s a lightweight gel but works better as a leave-in cream. Nothing spectacular but it was moisturising for my low porosity type 4 hair!Be careful what products you pair with it, but that’s obvious with cantu. Decent product
