Definitely great for patches and battle jackets
definitely recommend these to people starting battle jackets or sewing patches onto thick fabrics such as jean. even the needles go through the seams or jeans. super awesome exactly what i was looking for. they are not brittle. many varieties and sharp.

Used with Kevlar cord, worked well! Easy to thread. Needle was strong didn't break pulling Kevlar through. Good value for the money. Don't let the amount you get fool you. Small looking but really has a lot there! Plenty for sewing canvas seems together. With a lot left over!
