Works great for all my trs connections. So much i own 3 of them.
I cannot express how thrilled I am with the Rode VXLR Plus XLR to 3.5mm Transforming Adapter. This little device has completely transformed my audio setup and made my recording process so much smoother. The build quality of this adapter is top-notch. It feels sturdy and durable, which gives me the confidence that it will last for a long time. When I received it, I noticed the absence of any annoying 60-cycle hum or hiss that I experienced with cheaper adapters. What surprised me the most was how transparent the audio quality remained. My microphone sounded just as pristine as when connected directly to the interface. The VXLR Plus provided the necessary voltage conversion for my unpowered mics and I didn't experience any issues with audio levels or distortion. It's an active adapter with internal circuitry that does its job superbly.Even though the price is slightly higher than some alternatives, I can confidently say that it's worth every penny. The peace of mind and reliable performance it offers are unmatched, making it a worthy investment.Overall, the Rode VXLR Plus XLR to 3.5mm Transforming Adapter has exceeded my expectations in every way. It has solved all my connectivity challenges and allowed me to use my favorite microphones with ease. If you want a reliable and high-quality solution for your audio needs, I highly recommend this fantastic adapter. Bravo, Rode!

Works Great for 'direct-to-camera' mics!
I have a cheap Takstar SCG-598 in addition to my trusty Rode NTG1 with a Zoom H6 Audio Recorder. The Rode connected flawlessly to the H6 of course, because it is an XLR mic.But my Takstar, which is meant to connect directly to a camera audio input, which connect with barely any feedback. I purchased a cheap $10 3.5mm to XLR adapter, but the input volume was the same, very low. Come to find out, the adapter I purchased didn't support Phantom power. So after some research, I stumbled upon this, at $25, it was only $15 more than the cheap adapter I bought, and it specifically supports and converts any Phantom power to a voltage sage for smaller mics.It worked wonderfully -- I can now connect both of my mics to my H6 while keeping the onboard H6 mic available. The build is very sturdy and feels really solid in the hand. I did remove the clip that's on it, since it was getting in the way of connecting with my H6, but otherwise, this adapter works flawlessly as intended.$10 cheap adapter that didn't work versus $25 brand-name adapter that streamlines my process is a no-brainer. Get this product if you're looking for a similar setup!

Rode VideoMicro users, use the mic's TRS cable with extension to eliminate hum
I bought this so I could connect my Rode VideoMicro mic to a Volt 2 audio interface. Plug-in Power works great with 48v phantom power step down to 3-5v. At first, there was a really bad 60-cycle hum noise that made it impossible to use. Both of the high-quality 3.5mm cords I tried were noisy. What happened when I tried the red, curly wire that came with the mic (SC2)? - no hum! I don't know why that wire makes a difference, but it does. In the end, I put it on a good 3.5 mm extension cable, and now it works perfectly. I took away one star on value for money because the price is high.

Works great!
At first I was trying to connect my Plug in Power mic with a passive 3.5mm to XLR adapter to my interface and that didn't work - there was no output. So I did a little bit of research and found this neat little device, and it works great! My only problem with it right now is that the 3.5mm side is a bit loose and quite wobbly, which is a shame because the device feels otherwise sturdy and well made. Not sure if I was just unlucky with the unit I got or if it's a more general QC/design issue. Because of this I'm a bit worried it won't last for long, but anyways, it works for now. Will update this review if any issues arise with it.

Works perfectly to convert phantom power to 4-5V for electret condenser mics!
This works perfectly if you're trying to plug an electret condenser mic into an audio interface or anything with an XLR mic input with 48v phantom power. As some reviewers had noted, the 3.5mm end was loose, but I tightened it down with a pair of tweezers, by poking into the 2 little holes around the 3.5mm jack and turning clock-wise. Little annoying that it wasn't tight from the factory, but not an issue if you know to look for it and know how to tighten it. Overall very happy with the quality of the sound and perfect function!

Excellent product, amazing!
Okay,This will not be a hugely long review, but here it goes.My mother, whomb I love with for reasons I will not elaborate on here, told me the package was in the mail and gave it to me and Michelle.Well, I was impressed. First of all, man! It is tiny!Compared to another adapter which I have from a different company that I won't mention too much here in this review, there is no cord before the XLR and 3.5mm jacks. On the Road V XLR Plus, it just had the ends, no cord. I think that is awesome, for someone who has a hand/arm disability. I have right-sided Hemiplegic Cerebral Palsy, which prevents me from using my whole right side almost at all. So it was cool to see there was no cord to deal with. It worked both with my Hyper X Stinger headset, and also a lavalier microphone that I'd recently received. I haven't tested all headsets I use, but it is awesome to see that it works. Brilliant, I tell ya, smiles!Pros:It is sturdy. It works with the main headset I use, plus my lavalier microphone.Note, I was afraid it wouldn't.As far as weaknesses or cons, I have none, at least for now. I will update if I find any.
