There are 3 light settings; bright, brighter, and off. Plug into USB drive & it’s ready. I often use my laptop in the living room, with & without an overhead light on. This piece is bright enough to brighten my work area with/without the overhead. I love it & don’t know how I lived without it! Value for money:Very bright & cheap. This little light rocks! Its super bright, the controls are simple, and the bendy support stays where I put it. Its super small and fits in my laptop bag. The smaller "bonus" light that came with it is a little less stellar. It isnt nearly as bright and it doesnt have an off /on button, you have to unplug it to turn it off.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Good value for the money. It works as described and hasn’t failed. Easy to maneuver and position how you like. The only issue is that the USB plug is kind of loose when you attach it to the computer but other than that, it works.

I worked nights, needed my laptop, and didn't have a backlit keyboard. This fit the bill. I had a spare USB port, so this worked great. Functioned well, and the flexibility of the light was great. It was well worth the money for the purpose I needed it for.

Unlike most folks who bought this, I bought this USB Lamp for my bedside table. I needed a bedside table lamp but I didn't have enough space for a full sized one. fortunately I have an extension cable with power strip on the table and this USB Lamp was ideal for the space, and the gooseneck design makes for easy adjustments too.So don't just think of this as strictly a computer lamp. It works just as well plugged into a normal USB port for power and used as a simple tableside lamp.

The on off/ hi low switch is great. Easier than needing to unplug it each time you want to turn it off.

I bought an. Hp laptop and needed a small light to hover over the keys., but when I place it in the USB port it fit , but loosely, the smaller one that came with it fit perfectly although the light does not travel that well on bothe sides of the laptop. Any suggestions from anyone with an HP laptop.
