Good, cheap option
I don't know why we opted for a kids thermometer, but it actually works pretty well. It's easy to use for dummies and it's so small it can be thrown in any bin in the bathroom.

Multiple uses
Really like this. Can be used on a person and also when checking room temperature etc. It works fast, light weight, small, fits comfortably in your hands. I like to check the hot water temperature for a recipe when I am making bread or pizza dough. This works perfect, by holding over the measuring cup of warm water. So easy to use. If you have a small child, you may find this to be an excellent way to take their temperature.

This is a must have!
Works very well. Gives an immediate reading and so far it’s been very accurate. Great product for a great price and very fast delivery.

A little flimsy, but more accurate and consistent than other forehead thermometers
My old forehead thermometer died after 6.5 years, so I set out to buy a new one. Reviews about accuracy and consistency were all over the place, even for highly rated ones, so I got a few: Braun digital thermometer, Boncare 10 second digital thermometer, iProven Pro Series Forehead Thermometer, and this one. I tested them on my daughter and me while we're healthy to test it out. My temperature normally runs on the low side, around 97.3 to 97.8.The Boncare one was absolute trash with temperature readings ranging from 95.1 to 98.8.iProven turned out to be a disappointment. Forehead readings were a little high (98.?, which is high for me) and still fluctuated by a whole degree, and ear readings were inconsistent although possibly more accurate (in the 97s). It had only one button to turn on, calibrate, show old reading, and take new temperature. I was never sure when I was supposed to point the thermometer at the forehead. The Braun thermometer was the most accurate for me with readings between 97.3 and 97.4.The Femometer thermometer surprised me. The build quality is a lot flimsier with a very lightweight plastic that feels like it could break easily. The battery port was a little finicky compared to the iProven one. But it kept giving me consistent readings (98.0 for me, 98.3 for my daughter) that are closer to my actual temperature. I also like that it has separate buttons for different functions: one on/off button (I think it calibrates when you turn it on), one to choose forehead temp or household object, and one to actually take the temperature. It's very clear when it's reading your temperature vs is it turning on? Calibrating? When are you supposed to put it up against your forehead?Since I got the Femometer one on sale, I decided to keep this and the Braun thermometer. While Braun gave more accurate readings and feels sturdier, I like the idea of not having to clean the thermometer every time like you do for an oral thermometer. I'll use this one for the initial reading and the Braun for verification if necessary.Overall 4 stars. I'm deducting one star because the non sale price is a little high, and I'm not sure how long it will last given the cheaper build quality. I'm pleased with its consistency and relative accuracy and the more intuitive buttons. I do recommend this product and hope it lasts.

Good for on the go or quick reads
I will say I’m a little conflicted on how I should rate this item on as I think it’s a good item. I’m not sure how well calibrated it is because I’m going from a oral thermometer to this one. What I liked about it is that it is lightweight and quick. It’s simple to use there. There’s not a lot to it.I do feel like the material is maybe a little cheaper than expected for an electronic item but it’s working for me and it has been for about one to two weeks now. I have to take my temperature multiple times a day to log symptoms. It’s easy to put this in my purse or to leave it on my nightstand.I will say that one thing I notice is it says low a lot when I turn it on not sure if that means low temperature because it’s reading a surrounding area or if it means low batteries. If it’s low batteries, I would be a little disappointed, because it’s done this since I got it for the first time use.Overall, really solid!
