Excellent functional and low cost rechargeable battery charger.
This is a nice, compact unit that will charge up to 8 AA or AAA rechargeable batteries. When the battery is installed, the LEDs are red, and as they fully charge, the LEDs turn green. Power cord detaches for easy storage. Great price.Charges fully depleted batteries in less than an hour.

Reliable, Fast, and Eco-Friendly Charging!
I’ve been using the EBL AA AAA Battery Charger for a few weeks now, and I am thoroughly impressed! As someone who uses a lot of rechargeable batteries for everything from remotes to kids’ toys, this charger has been a total game-changer.The charging process is incredibly fast. I can get a full charge in just a few hours, which is perfect when I need batteries on the go. The display is super clear, showing the charge status of each individual battery, so I always know where things stand. It also has built-in overcharge protection, which gives me peace of mind knowing my batteries are safe from damage.I also appreciate how versatile it is. It can charge both AA and AAA batteries, which is perfect for my household, and the design is compact enough to fit anywhere without taking up too much space. Plus, the charger comes with a set of high-quality EBL batteries, which is a nice bonus.Another huge plus is the eco-friendly aspect. Using rechargeable batteries helps reduce waste, and this charger makes it easy to keep my batteries in rotation without constantly buying new ones. It’s a great way to save money in the long run while being more environmentally conscious. If you’re looking for an efficient, fast, and reliable battery charger for AA and AAA batteries, I highly recommend the EBL Charger. It’s practical, durable, and works exactly as advertised!

Easy to use, works as expected, great price.
Ordered this And EBL AAA batteries mainly because I had already purchased EBL AA batteries some time ago with good results. My antiquated charger took huge amounts of time to perform recharges. (of any battery) This unit is fast and easy to use. It has bright indicators of charge state, minimizing time I leave batteries in the charger. Most of all, it allows me to "go green" with my battery use, with minimum hassle, and satisfactory fresh battery availability.

I got a charge out of this thing... Eight of them!
Quick and easy once you figure out how to plug the batteries into charge slots. Charge eight at once. AC Cord ensuring lot's of charge as opposed to the USB type chargers. LED lights go from red while charging to green when fully charged. Looks like good buy.

Easy to charge different types/quantities of batteries at same time
Unit works well. Like how you can charge different quantities/types of batteries at the same time. Easy to tell when individual batteries have been charged. Very good. Would recommend.

This is the next generation.
Way better that that I bought from EBL about 10 years ago. It may have been even longer, but the old one was not charging in all bays. I like that only one battery can be charged by itself, because the old one had to have 2. It charges more quickly, and the lights are better indicating bad battery, not finished charging, and charged, each battery in its own spot.

Do NOT order this charger, and here's why.
I am reviewing the charger and the charger alone.I have 64 of the AmazonBasics AA and 24 of the AAA. I have used this charger exclusively for a little over a year and while I've always noticed that the batteries seemed not to last that long, I've never put too much thought into it. I recently purchased 16 of the AmazonBasics high capacity AA and at the recommendation of a lot of reviews, also purchased the La Crosse Technology BC-700 Alpha Power Battery Charger. That particular battery charger only chargers 4 batteries at a time, but it tells you the voltage of the batteries as well as the mAh (capacity) that it puts into the batteries. If you want to learn more about that charger, there are great reviews for it. I wanted to see how well this EBL 8 Bay charger was working for me, so I decided to test it out. This is what I did:* I took my entire lot of batteries that weren't in devices and made sure they were charged in this EBL 8 Bay charger.* I then waited about a day, not for any particular reason other than schedule.* I charged each of the batteries in the La Crosse BC-700, paying attention to the mAh each battery accepted before the La Crosse registered the battery as full..In most cases, I was able to put another 300 to 700 mAh into the AA batteries. In some cases it was in excess of 1000 mAh and in the most extreme case I was able to put 2130 mAh into the standard capacity AA batteries. Those batteries are only rated to 2,000 mAh which tells me that the EBL 8 Bay charger registered the battery as full when it was actually dead.As for the AA batteries and the high capacity batteries, I'm still on my first batch of AAA batteries, but all 4 are registering several hundred mAh already. I'm only charging the high capacity batteries in the La Crosse charger because I don't trust the EBL charger. Before I give my conclusion, there is something that is important to understand about this EBL 8 Bay charger: It charges batteries in pairs. You cannot charge a single battery, so if you have a device that takes an odd number of batteries you have to mix/match batteries from other devices to charge them.Based on my experience, this is what I think is happening:* The EBL 8 Bay charger doesn't fully charge the batteries. It regularly stops a minimum of 300 mAH hours short of the battery's full charge. This in itself is very unfortunate and based on this alone, I would not recommend this charger.* Because the EBL 8 Bay charger only charges batteries in pairs, you will commonly have to charge two batteries together that have a different charge level. My assumption prior to my testing was that the charger would be intelligent enough to charge both batteries to their maximum charge, but that doesn't seem to be the case at all. What seems to be happening is that the EBL 8 Bay charger is charging each pair of batteries until it senses that one of them is full, and then stops charging them. This is the only explanation I have for why there are such large discrepancies between charge levels from battery to battery after I charged all of them.* While I have not tested this yet (I will), perhaps leaving batteries on the charger once they are full is causing them to discharge at a rapid rate. The La Crosse BC-700 continues to 'trickle charge' batteries when they are done charging at a rate of ~10 mAh or so as needed. Perhaps this BCL charger is slowly draining the batteries after they're charged, I'm not sure. This is all to say that I can not and do not recommend this charger. I would strongly recommend getting the La Crosse charger. You can see how much each battery is being charged, what the voltage is and how long it takes to charge. It also reconditions batteries and provides the functionality to properly break-in new batteries for maximum capacity and longevity. You can charge at 200, 500, and 700 mAh as well if you need your batteries charged in a pinch.DO NOT buy this EBL charger if you want the maximum capacity and life out of your rechargeable batteries.
