RioRand 7-70V PWM DC Motor Speed Controller Switch 30A

Awesome little controller for the kids different ride ons, can turn the power down or up. Buying a couple more as gifts and for my own personal project on a razor scooter. I have a 24v battery so i turn the knob down low for the 6v ride on toys.

Got this to use as a controller for the 12 v bilge pump for my sluice box - works great!

Removed ti from the case out of concern it would short bottom electrical connection. So not very physically rugged.Bench testing with a 12V 10A motor. Controller works well: at 0%, 50%, and 100% there was no easily detectable heat. Smooth ramp with no hiccups from 0-100%. There is no soft start, so if you turn it on there *will* be a current surge and your motor will jump.The speed control pot is a major pain to remove - not enough space in the case to back it out without running into other components - and the extension wire is pretty short. The on/off switch is mounted to the board, so you will need to desolder it and wire your own extension if you want that control accessible in e.g. a case.

purchased this ca Feb 2025 but just got around to using this and as others have described, worked GREAT for about 5 mins and then ONLY FULL POWER (no power control). I have a similar looking PWM from another vendor (DC Motor Speed Controller PWM Controller, Enmja 7-70V 30A Adjustable PWM Motor Speed Regulator 12V 24V 36V 48V) and this has been used extensively for about 1 year and it's fine. again, these 2 units LOOK ALIKE but clearly they aren't the same. also, I did some voltage measurements on the 2 units initially and the defective unit (before being used) required advancing the rheostat near 2/3 of its entire travel before it registered anything. that was until the controller failed resulting in 100% output and NO speed control at all.I'm going to order another of the previous model (still offered by Amazon as of 6/2025) since my experience with that has been positive.but I'll avoid this one that is defective. I'll also tear it apart to see if there is anything fixable (and cheaply) and if I come up with a solution, I'll post an update.one note: as others stated, when it works, it's great. it just doesn't work for very long.

Brush motor speed controller.This pwm controller was used to control the speed of a DC motor in my air conditioner. I am using solar panels to generate the power. The efficiency and wide operating range of this device was a perfect fit for this application.

Bought this for the kids power wheel as i upgraded the motors and controller. The speed controller worked great with the 12v battery and 12v controller with 24v motors but when i changed to the 24v battery and 24v controller for the power wheel this controller did nothing. It would either be full speed, wheels not spin, power hiccup or not be responsive. When hooking back up to 12v battery and 12v controller it works fine. May have gotten a bad controller for the power wheel who knows its made in china and sold here cheap so for now i give 2.5 stars even though it shows 3
