Great wheelchair. Very lightweight and sturdy.
I fell and shattered my femur and the hip prosthetic that I had because of AVN, avascular necrosis of the hip. Well, shattering my brittle bones was a fear that became a reality. I am missing about 7 inches of bone in the femur. They made a special prosthetic held together with rods and plates and a ton of screws. I had to be non-weight bearing for about 10 months then another three months while learning to walk again. This wheelchair was just perfect. I have mild paralysis of the left side. I can even roll in it by myself. A gentle spin takes me half way down my hallway! It is so light weight, sturdy and comfortable. It will last me decades as it is so well made.

Riding in Style and Comfort!
The Karman S-Ergo115 chair is absolutely terrific! It arrived with incredible speed, and was very easy to assemble. The fit and finish on this chair are extraordinarily good. It's as well designed and constructed as any wheelchair I have ever seen, and is amazingly light weight. The quick release wheels pop off with the touch of a button, allowing the chair to be stowed easily in the back seat of our car. In fact, the size is so compacted when prepared for travel that two S-Ergo115s will fit into the back seat. While most wheelchairs have the dark gloomy look of something belonging to a hospital or nursing home, the shiny Rose Red S-Ergo115 is ready to proudly roll down the road in a parade. It's amazingly comfortable and a true joy to own! Thanks so much for such a great product!! jon

A good wheelchair but way overpriced for what you get
Purchased chair about 2 months ago to replace the standard wheelchair that you get from Medicare. My expectations go up as the price goes up so if this was a standard Medicare chair I would rate it 5 stars. However, this chair costs about 4 times more and based on my experience after 2 months of use I feel a price around $300 would be reasonable. It is a well built chair, light weight, easy to fold, brake handles well designed and easy to use and it does not have that institutional look. The seat and back cushion are okay so far, but they seem somewhat thin and flimsy and I have some concern as to how well they will hold up. The plastic side pieces on the side by your thighs are flimsy and confining. Might be more comfortable if they were eliminated. The Ergonomic claim for the seat and back cushion is way overblown. Probably would be more accurate if the seat and back cushion were more substantial.

The perfect Ultra lightweight chair!
I saw someone say this was cheaply made. Not so! It is a lightweight chair. Something I needed badly as I'm struggling to pull the old one into the car nowadays. This chair is perfect! I had polio as a baby and cannot stand or walk. My chair is my legs. I require something dependable. This chair is it! I added the tip bars at the back and chose swing-away removable footrests but chose molded armrests that don't move as I put a great pressure on them while lifting myself to dress or transfer. The chair came with padded upholstery and ergonomic that make it very comfortable and since I'm sitting from 5 a.m. until I go to bed at night, this too is important. Another feature that came with the chair was brake handles that fold! I've never seen this before. It's a wonderful feature! When I I'm doing laundry, cooking or cleaning, I need to be able to roll all the way up to cabinets or machines. I move my legs out of the way, fold the breaks down and press them forward under my legs to apply them fully. It works great! I have had my chair now for a couple of months and I love it. I am so thankful to have it. I highly recommend the Carmen S-115 25 lb ultralight ergonomic wheelchair. As with any wheelchair, it is important to use grabbers instead of Reaching Forward for things because overreaching and / or putting extra pressure into the footrests can cause the chair to tip forward. This is true of every chair I have had. Use common sense and do not over reach and you will be fine.

Not red!
The description said it was a red chair. We received a silver one. The wheelchair is very lightweight compared to the one we were using to transport my mother. It is also narrower so we can easily move from room to room. I'm only giving it 4 stars because we need to test it out a bit more and she was hoping to get a red chair but a silver one but we'll see how it goes.

Best Wheelchair I’ve ever owned (3)
This wheelchair weighs 25 lbs. I’m a 70 year-old lady and I can load in bed of truck. It came fully assembled except for footrests, which I installed in 12 minutes. It’s sturdy - no plastic. The brakes are next level as are the arm rests, the footrests, the ergonomic seat and back. The wheels, etc. the nuts and bolts throughout the chair are heavy duty. The wheels are perfect. The metal is red ❤️! The back and seat pads velcro on to the chair back and seat. I just put the cushion I ordered on top. I ordered tippers to put on the back of the wheelchair so there’s no risk of me tipping over. When you fold the wheelchair, the back folds down the foot rest fold in. I’m set!Packaging: the box is super sturdy. The wheels were wrapped in heavy duty plastic and each edge was wrapped in heavy-duty cardboard. I’m keeping that box! It’ll be great for storage for things in our shop.Cost: I paid $599 + tax. Free shipping. It arrived less than five days after I ordered it picture
