Great little generator
It’s been a really good generator for the price. Fairly light weight and pretty quiet. Easy to start and runs a long time on a tank of gas.

Small, very lightweight & super-quiet
I was at the race track (dry camping). I had an issue with my solar charging system and it would not maintain a charge overnight. Luckily I had a friendly neighbor who shared & connected me to his Champion 3100 Generator. It worked great running his AC and powering my Class B - that's why I chose Champion. After seeing his 3100, I felt a 2500/1850 would suit my needs and thus I chose this model. This unit has a small [dare I say "tiny"] footprint & is lightweight (it's hard to believe it's a 2500/1850). Most importantly, it's very quiet (even under a load) - it sounds like a white noise machine (it won't disturb you OR your neighbors).I haven't yet run it out of gas, so I cannot attend to the run time.I bought a quart of Royal Purple Break-in Oil {for the initial 5-hour break-in period) and I also bought a magnetic dipstick that I leave in full-time (to remove potential residual metal shavings inside the engine during break-in & as a safety measure after break-in).My only slight negative: the pull-start recoil is initially a bit finicky. The instructions say to pull it a couple of times until you feel resistance. What it doesn't say - once you feel resistance you cannot release any slack - you must immediately pull it hard to start. After a couple of tries, I realized what I was doing wrong and it started-up immediately.Overall, I'm extremely happy. IF my opinion changes, I'll come back and update my review.

Worked great in hurricane Ian
I bought this earlier this summer just because I figured sooner or later. Then hurricane Ian hit and we took it to Florida. Ran lights in the house, our neighbor's full sized fridge and our mini fridge. Its well made, and was quiet and I could get 4 or 5 hours on a gallon of gas. It started on first or second pull. The neighbor's loved it.What sells the Champion brand for me is I met one of their Wisconsin based engineers. It is Chinese made but the engineering, quality control and tech support is out of the US. This generator is flawless.

Nice backup plan
Purchased in 2021 and for the first 2 years I never needed it. I would pull it out 2 times a year to test it. Run clean gas through it, check the oil, and put a load on it for 30 mins. I thought it was $500 of cheap insurance, bought on sale, inspired by paranoia. The generator pull starts pretty easy and is quieter than you would think, although not as quiet as you would want. Unit is very lite and easy to move around and store. So far easy to service and maintain.Late march 2023 we had a storm which damaged the power line to our house and we’re told we’d be more than 3 days without power. This unit has been very good on gas. I was able to power a fridge, sump pump, dehumidifier, modem and router 12 hours a day. Also was able to power the furnace or water heater when needed by turning off the other items. Capacity is good enough for short periods if you prioritize your loads, a larger capacity unit would be more convenient. If your buying this purchase a good long cord meant for generators with the GFCI power strip at the end. It maybe expensive but you won’t waste time plugging and unplugging this all the time and won’t have cords running every which way. I would recommend this unit, perhaps would advise more toward the 3300watt unit rather than the 2500 watt one.A couple of notes. Follow all setup instructions. Also if you are powering a device which requires a bonded ground ( a modern gas furnace for example). The 2500 watt unit I purchased has a floating neutral wire (the white wire in a normal outlet, this is normally bonded to ground in your electrical panel) for some items it may require you to bond the ground(green) and the neutral(white) together at the appliance. This generator provides a ground lug which should be connected force safety. There are instructions in the manual, consult an electrician if needed. It is possible to damage an appliance or create a dangerous situation if things are not grounded properly.

Works, easy starting, FAILS after few hours
Generator arrived today. Good delivery by Amazon. However Amazon and their 30 day return policy isn't playing well. Amazon wants to trouble shoot over the phone with bunch of canned questions with non-electrical people on their end.On weight of the generator, the Amazon girl carried the box to the front porch. followed directions and added oil, little gasoline and unit started on first pull. Tested the generator at home with one minute run on 1500W electric heater.... Should have let it run for few hours. Got to NV and camping, the generator failed with 500W air conditioner load after few hours. In comparisons with brand "H", never tells full story of engine cc size comparison, as this generator's engine is considerably smaller. That said, pricing is good but you're throwing money down the toilet.I saw few comments the unit wouldn't start. I did a few starts. It is possible to flood the unit and you need to move the knob to take the choke off, gasoline on with no choke. If you don't understand the engine is flooded, get help. For radio operators, this unit will produce RFI / RF hash, Stay away!! This generator could never pass FCC compliance.
