A fantastic weightlifting bench
I love this bench. I bought it 10 years ago for $40. I'd buy it again at its current price. The thing is I don't need to. The bench I bought 10 years ago is in excellent condition even after years of regular use. I imagine taller lifters may consider this bench a bit short in length, but its size is also why I love it so much. Small enough to tuck away when not in use. Light enough to move with ease. Its a very simple, sturdy, lightweight bench that does the job. Can you fold it? Nope. Can you change its angle? Nope. It doesn't have bells and whistles, but its usually the bells and whistles that break on products. If you are in the market for a basic weightlifting bench, look no further.

First impression: great for $40
I was a little reluctant based on a few negative reviews, but I thought it was worth giving this a shot for $40. I almost bought the Reebok bench for about twice the price, but decided to roll the dice. I think it will suit my purposes just fine.Assembly: Instructions weren't much (basically two diagrams of all the extruded parts), but there are basically only 4 parts you have to put together... the two feet, the main frame, and the top of the bench. I'd say I got it together in about 15 minutes and I'm not especially handy. This is a $40 bench, so I'm guessing the negative reviews are quality control issues, which is not too shocking for something at this price point. All the holes lined up for me and it went together pretty easy. The design for the foot attachments could have been a little easier (tight fit for the wrench). This is not a heavy duty bench. The first time you pick it up, you'll feel it's crazy light compared to a bench you'd find at a gym. That said, it should be fine for my uses... basically some ab work, work with light dumbbells, split squats, etc. On the positive side of that, the fact that it's light will make it very easy to move out of the way when not in use, but obviously that means it's not as sturdy if you're trying to throw around a bunch of weight on it. I'm rating it as 5 because it's just what I need -- if I bought it planning to use this in a heavy-weight set up, I might rate it lower.-------EDIT: One other comment regarding some other reviews: I did notice this is slightly wobbly when I have it directly on my basement floor. I think this is actually due to my basement floor not being level rather than a problem with the bench. I usually have it over a rug and it feels solid there. If it's a bit wobbly directly on a hard surface (concrete, hardwood, laminate), I recommend putting it on a rug or those usual gym squares. I think that would resolve it... I should probably break out a level and see if it's really the floor or the bench that isn't quite level, but keeping it on the rug is working fine for me.

Very Nice Bench at a Reasonable Price
This bench arrived well-packaged and undamaged. The screws, washer, nuts, and 2 hex Allen wrenches were presented in a vacuum-sealed package. The only tool the user needs to supply is an adjustable wrench. The spot welds did not have any gaps or cracks. The powder coat has a slightly rough texture, but coated all of the metal. The rubber ends for the feet insert into the metal frame rather than wrapping around it. The vinyl bench cover was in perfect condition with no gaps where it was attached to the bench.Assembly was easy. The holes for the screws are not precision-placed, so start all 4 screws that adjoin the frame to each foot before tightening. Same thing with the 2 screws adjoining each end of the frame to the underside of the bench.I am a small frame woman and I anticipate that this bench will serve me well for many years.

Decent, but read for pros and cons.
Pros:Durable, have done quite a lot of workouts on here nothing above the limit.Excellent valueEasy to set upGood color, can use as a night stand too if you wanna keep it in your room bonusConsAs a flat utility bench, miss out on incline bench which is extremely important for upper chest, but that’s on me.If you want one bench only for at home, get one that has incline and flat bench. If you want to work out shirtless, your sweat will show up easily on this bench.A bit short even for me at 5’4, I have to ring my hips all the way to the bottom to fit normally for a bench press, but at the gym, there is room to spare.Overall, useful, but there are better options. Still good value at its price point.
