Helped so much
Recommend by my acupuncturist and works very well to help with my tight achille heel.

It's okay, but wish the handle was wider
I know the ends ultimately need to be skinny to serve their purpose, but the thinness of all of this tool and others like it is that gripping it for 5+ minutes gets tiring versus, say, the handle of a chef's knife. This is a nice tool, though, and the case and towel being included was nice.

A great investment in self-health care for muscle and tendon problems
I'm an active tennis player in his mid-50's who's been plagued over the years by tennis elbow, neck and shoulder tightness, and plantar fasciitis. I've had some excellent results recently with professional Graston Technique treatments on my trouble areas. Since it seemed like there are elements of Graston that I could potentially incorporate into my recovery routine, I went online to figure out how. There I learned about Gua Sha and its relationship to Graston, as well as all the tools practitioners use to get the best results. After researching a lot of options, I settled on the Curve product by Sidekick and I'm really glad I did. I was using plastic and metal tools before this and the stone feels much nicer in my hand - it's a good size, it's well-balanced, and it's got good heft. The shape has both broad surfaces and pointed edges so you can work on big or small areas of your body with some precision. The mint balm included with the kit is a nice bonus, but you can substitute any number of other balms (I recommend Dr. Christopher's Complete Tissue & Bone Ointment). The packaging is high-quality, too: there's a sturdy travel case that holds both the tool and the balm. I haven't tried any of the similar-sounding but lower-priced Gua Sha tools available on Amazon, but I can definitely vouch for the quality and effectiveness of this product.

Great tool for self care
This is oerfectly weighted for a more comfortable self treatment. I only use this on myself. I have the Echo model for professional use. These tools are easy to hold and handle. Although with this model I am extra careful when working and washing because it can be delicate if dropped on a hard surface. I only work above a carpeted surface in case it slips from my hand. I also put down a towel into the sink when I'm washing it off in case I drop it while cleaning. This doesn't make it a bad product however just not as durable as steel. The other materials used for gua sha tools are comparably fragile if dropped on a hard surface from a high distance.Other than that the case it comes with is very impressive. I ripped out the foam insert used to hold the balm as it needlessly takes up space and now I can fit my echo, the balm as well as the spray into the other compartment. It's hard shell so it protects the tool well in transport. It works great. I haven't had to worry about pressing harder than necessary like I do with jade, horn or wood so I have less discomfort during and after the treatments. I would buy it again.

Great product and fantastic seller....amazing for Plantar Faciitis
I order allot of products/pantry items from Amazon. I seldom write a review but with this product and seller I feel obligated to. First in regards to the seller, they immediately followed up with me as many sellers do but the responsiveness was impressive. The product came with a small chip in it. I explained this in a reply to email to the seller who immediately responded and shipped me a new product. I was genuinely impressed, there are occasionally hiccups but the seller made it a non issue. In regards to the product, I bought this for my plantar fasciitis which I have had for about a decade and used literally every product available to alleviate it. A Physical Therapist had used a similar product and I experienced some relief from it. I started using the product in the morning and after my workouts. The relief was amazing, I use the included balm and then the tool on my foot and it is better than touted by far the best product I have seen for my plantar. In addition I have started using this for shoulder too and it is a great product.

Fantastic Tool
I love this product. It has a decent weight to it which helps with the scraping. I've been exposed to all sorts of soft tissue tools, including the much more expensive western metal tools. And let me just say, this Gua Sha tool is just as good as those expensive ones, if not better. The only downside may be that, because it's stone, you have to be more careful with it. I accidentally chipped mine slightly on the faucet while washing it in the sink shortly after I bought it. But other than that it's fantastic. I also actually like the lubricating balm as well because it stops you from feeling like you're scraping off all of your skin with the tool. And I think it's better than the more expensive gels and creams you can get with the more expensive metal tools.
