I have waited a little while before posting this review...
I wanted to make sure everything was good and it worked well.Boy howdy. It not only works as expected...it is better than expected.I wanted to put the 20 inch model in, but my wall would just barely accommodate this one. Suffice to say, this thing SUCKS...literally. I put it up on full blast and the decibel level is on par with a 24" box fan, and that is a great thing. I installed the remote and temp control unit in minutes...and when I set it to what I want I know it is going to do a good job. Tested for 2 weeks. It is changing the air in my house so fast. I can crack windows all over the house just a little, and kick this puppy on and I have a steady gentle breeze. On full blast it is difficult to light a candle.I installed this as a Whole-House fan instead of crawl space or attic fan. It works great. Highly recommend. FYI. Energy draw on high is only 2 times more than a big box fan for a window...and this means I can get rid of like 4 of them. It will actually save me money in the long run.

Quieter than expected, moves a lot of air, flimsy louvers don't quite close
Pro, in addition to title:> Well balanced blades, little vibration (as opposed to some other reviews).> Remote control is RF and has a long range - I can use it in the house.> Low, medium, high fan speeds are well designed and draw 69, 78, or 89 watts.Con, in addition to title:> Non-intuitive remote control, especially with the power button used to wake up the control and also control fan state. I.e. push once to wake up remote, push again to toggle fan power.> Relative humidity sensor is way wrong and close to useless. Ignore that feature, it's a poor concept anyway.I did the wiring and made a frame from 2x3s, a handyman/carpenter with a long ladder cut the hole in the wall. Inside, the fan is about 12' above the second floor, used as a woodshop. The first photo shows a temperature trace from a commercial grade temperature/humidity logger with the sensors near the power control which I mounted several inches below the bottom of the fan. The high temperature on the 20th was 82°F, the next day it was 89°F. The first day the target temperature was 90°F, the second day the fan was off and the interior reached 110°F.The other photos show the fan installed on that 2x3 frame (1.5" thick), plus 0.5" plywood, plus vinyl siding. They also show the second louver is warped. I think I can fix that from the inside with a couple pieces of coat hanger wire to reach the bent louver.

Finally A Fan That Cools Coop
I live in Texas and my coop has been so hot because the heat didn't have a way out. I installed this fan and set it to come on if the temp was 80. This worked like a charm to lower the temp in my chicken coop. Now I think I'm going to install a few in my attic.

Works great but definitely not "bug proof". Whine present on lower speeds.
This fan does exactly what I wanted it to do. It was relatively easy to install. I cant believe the wireless remote control added a $100 to the price but that is the only way it would work in my situation. The 10" fan moves a lot of air. The louvers move easily and do not restrict air flow. The rounded ridges on the louvers leave openings for pesky bees, wasps, yellowjackets and hornets to explore and infiltrate to the interior. Solved by putting a screen over the exterior opening which restricts airflow a little bit. Remote control is a bit complicated to use and not intuitive. Does work great but the is a persistent whine at medium and low speeds. It's not bad enough to nix it or take a pass on purchasing it but the remote is expensive. I would buy it again and am thinking about buying a spare fan (only). Ball bearings instead of sleeve bearing in fan would improve useful life of fan. Even with caveats, it does what I need it to do and I am pleased with this exhaust fan.

Lasted 10 Months and thats all. They refuse to warranty it.
DO NOT BUY THIS FAN! THEY REFUSE TO HONOR WARRANTY.Haven't even finished making the 12 monthly payments to Amazon and now this fan is dead. I installed it roughly 6 months ago and its probably seen a total of a week of sporadic use here and there. I never just leave this thing running unless I'm in the shop. Was in the shop yesterday with the fan on its lowest setting when it sounded like the word was coming to a end. It sounded like someone suddenly stuck a stick in the fan, which is 13 feet off the ground. I didn't know such noises even existed. I ran over to the remote and was in a panic attempting to turn the thing off. It took a few seconds but I finally managed to do so. I got my ladder and climbed up to see what could of happened. The motor was very hot and it feels like the motor bearings went out. How? How in the world have these bearings went out in such a short time? I called Iliving to inquire about the warranty, and spoke to a female. She was not very helpful and very short with me. I don't want to say she was rude, but nothing like I would expect from a customer service representative. She said she'd check on it, and have to call me back. Well, no such luck so far.I then realized I purchased the Asurion Insurance when I bought the fan. I was so excited and thinking that would be the solution. Well, since its still under the supposed factory warranty they referred me to them. I quickly explained I've already attempted that route to no avail. The lady was very helpful but and started a claims process. However, it was for me to ship it off to a repair shop to have it fixed. Easier said than done. This is a 24in x 24in exhaust fan I now have to remove from my wall and ship off for possible repairs. In the mean time I have a huge hole in my shop wall. She has forwarded my request for a new unit to the appropriate department and I'm waiting to hear the results. I'll update this review once I find something more out. I'm just unsure about even putting another one of these Iliving fans up. If I had not been out there when this fan failed, I'm afraid my shop could of burned to the ground.UPDATE: Asurion was no help. Even after explaining that if I remove the fan from the wall, it will leave a gaping hole there for weeks! They insist on me removing the fan and shipping it off the be check. So, Asurion was a complete waste of money (at least on this type of purchase).iLiving was also no help at all. This is still in warranty and they are simply waiving it off as a installation problem, and refusing to honor the warranty. This thing is installed rock solid and they cant tell me what they claim is wrong with the install. They just simply say that's what it must be. I was a millwright for 10 years! I know what bad bearings sound like and this is what it is. They simply refuse to do the right thing and replace the unit. DO NOT BUY THIS FAN!Update:Iliving sent me a new motor after I purchased a new fan. Uninstaller old and installed new one. Realized the problem then. The bolt holding the fan on came loose and the fan was hitting frame. Now I have a extra fan and motor.

Works great in my garage
I like to ability to either set it to a temperature or turn it on remotely to different speeds when I want. I do a lot of woodworking out there and it really helps reduce the dust.
