Woodcraft Baltic Birch Plywood 9Mm - 3/8" X 12" X 12" 1-Piece

I just got two of these thin plywood sheets to use as backing on yard signs, as I have a trespasser next door who crunches up "no trespassing" signs. I'm so pleased that the wood is clear and the sheets arrived sanded -- makes my job easier. Contrary to some other buyers' comments, my sheets are indeed 12 x 12 inches. I can hardly wait to get busy with the project!

I've been using this for my business and overall I have been quite satisfied with the quality. Ninety percent of the time, all the pieces are uniform. Every once in a while I get a batch that has some variance in density, which can be a problem with my laser cutter, but I don't think much can be done about that. Wood is sanded nicely and there are very few plugs to be found. I've seen cheaper prices out there but I'm going to stick with these guys for the quality. Shipping is always fast.I would recommend them to anyone.

Everyone can buy a large piece of wood and cut it down with a saw to the desired size .............for much cheaper. But when, what if you are working on an assignment away from home (as I often do) and need some wood (for whatever) at this location. Typically, one does not drag along his or her power tools when traveling - at least I do not do so. These items are very convenient in those instances and one can have the wood shipped directly to one's door in a matter of days. In my case, I wanted some pieces of wood to sit on top of a wire mesh locker shelf I had purchased to make more room on my desk. This product was convenient, arrived shortly and saved me the hassle for making a trip over to Lowes - even if I did have some means of cutting the wood. Sometimes time is money and it is well worth it to have the convenience of someone cutting the wood and delivering it your door - even it it were possible (which it was not in this instance) to do it yourself. The wood was smooth, clean and well sanded. It made a very nice topping for the locker shelf I purchased - see review I wrote for 'creative' use of said locker shelf. There is one heck of a lot of uses for wood this size, esp when traveling. I am always finding some use for a few blocks of wood this size esp when I am staying for an extended period of time when working at a temporary location. I always like to keep a few pieces around.

I made my own kitchen signs with chickens, roosters and barnyard scenes. I tried two different kinds of paint and spray gloss. Turned out very nice.Great wood for the money. Thanks for such a great deal

This plywood is perfect for smaller pieces cut on the scroll saw. I make lots of pins and jewelry, and the 12 x 12 size is large enough to get several pieces per sheet, yet small enough to fit the scroll saw. Smooth enough to paint without sanding, this baltic birch is great! I plan on buying from this company again!

I received my order very quickly. The wood is very nice. No blemishes or discolorization. However, they were suppose to be 12x12. One of the 5 pieces actually measures 11 5/8" and the other 4 are 11 3/4". This didn't really matter to me because I have to cut them down anyway but if you are expecting the wood to be exactly 12X12" you might be in for a shock.

Great stuff, super fast shipping. I only took a star off because the boards are not a full 12" (more like 11 7/8") and one of the 10 I ordered was warped beyond usability. Still, for under 2 bucks a board it's worth it for me and my projects.
