Great product for the money
Installed these in my 25' open cockpit boat this past summer.They WILL provide decent sound quality for an open boat. What they WILL NOT do and CANNOT do is replace larger cone/heavy sub-woofers, etc.Here's my point. Some people expect a 6X9 speaker to fill a boat cockpit like it can fill the inside of a car, and if you walk in expecting that, you're going to be sorely disappointed with any 6X9 speaker. Sound bounces around and fills areas of a car cabin while it "falls apart" much more readily in the open space of a boat cockpit.Why the speach? Because I've seen some reviews that sorta "panned" these speakers when the problem was more likely unrealistic expectations on the part of the reviewer.Long story short:If you are looking to make your boat ROCK with a LOUD sound system that just HAMMERS out the music and THUMPS out the bass without a bit of issues whether at the dock or going across the lake then go get a THOUSAND (or more) dollars and build a SOUND SYSTEM that can do that.If you want a set of speakers that can provide some decent music to your dock-side or fishing experience without breaking the bank, and understand that you can only push so much air with a 6x9 cone, then these speakers are just what you need!

The sound from these speakers is awesome!
We put the speakers in our older model pontoon boat and the sound system is now above par! The music is clear and the volume is great! Would highly recommend.

Loud as heyall on Saddlebags of a motorcycle.
These were purchased for saddlebag speakers on a motorcycle. Do they have good clarity? Not really. Do they have perfect pitch? Nah. Do they produce perfect bass? Meh. Are they loud as heyall when you're going 70MPH down I-75 on your way to Florida to see if Florida Man really does exist? Yep, and that's all I needed them for.

Bad quality speakers.
Bought speakers in March or April and first paid failed after 2 weeks of usage. Ordered replacements and same thing now up to 2 months and starting to fail again. Now have to fight Amazon for refund.

Let me be the first to say how impressed I am with these!!!! I am a name brand (jl audio, polk audio, Rockford) kind of guy. I stand by "You get what you pay for." That being said, I bought these for a summer ice chest radio build and didn't want to spend a fortune on something that may not last so I went with these. I was weary of "Boss" cheaply made products but these are great!!!! Don't hesitate to buy they are loud and good quality. I have a jl audio 4/400 amp pushing them!!!!! badazz
