BE AWARE
At the time I ordered this monocular, I overlooked the cryptic "telescope ruler" reference in the small print of the product description. So when it arrived, I was surprised to see the box proclaimed in large lettering, "Monocular with Reticle."The general viewing qualities of this monocular are marred quite a bit by the presence of a large rangefinding reticle that sprawls across pretty much the entire field of view. To make matters worse, in comparing the reticle to a laser rangefinder (and some previously known distances) I found that the reticle is totally inaccurate and therefore useless for its apparently intended function. For example, when measuring a wall of precisely known height (2.333 yards) from a precisely known range (75 yards) the reticle indicated a distance of only 57 yards. That is pretty far off.To make matters even worse yet (if that is even possible) the reticle is so wide side-to-side that you can't see both ends of it at the same time. You have to move your eye back and forth to see which markings bracket wider/closer objects, and that just does not work out. Even if the reticle had worked correctly, you would need to know in advance the dimensions of your ranging target, need to know the "mil-dot" type range calculating formula, and (for most of us) would need to carry an electronic calculator. Trust me... if you want to range-find, you are better off getting a good laser rangefinder.Otherwise, the optics are OK. But not really any better than some 42mm objective monoculars I have tried, which were MUCH less bulky to carry.I'd definitely pass on this item, unless it is intended to be a toy for some kid who dreams of someday becoming a World War 2 tank commander.

Works very well, but main focus is range finder
I was a bit confused that this BEBANG 13x50 Monocular is labeled with a Mountain icon and the word MaxiApter and the BEBANG isn’t on the box, either. So at first, I thought I had been sent the wrong monocular, but after checking the listing, I could see this was actually the BEBANG monocular.I got this monocular for birdwatching because I wanted a wider field of view and due to eye problems, I cannot see out of both sides of a binocular at once. I thought this would be an ideal solution.PROS1) This monocular has a really nice large field of vision.2) It enlarges and focuses easily and well.3) It’s very easy and comfortable to hold.CONS1) The range-finder lines are intrusive and you really have to work on ignoring them.2) Due to the range-finder grids, you wouldn’t want to try to take pictures through this monocular.3) The BEBANG branding is absent and confusing.Overall, very pleased with the clarity, magnification, and function of this monocular. I just wish I had known that the range-finder lines/grid would be so prominent in the field of vision. I will be using it a lot however, although I may be on the lookout for a similar unit without the range finder. As the parent of kiddos with autism, there are causes near and dear to my heart. Didn't work out for me
I got this to take on walks with me mainly for birdwatching but I found it awkward to use and to focus in. I kept seeing black on the sides. I didn't like the telescope ruler lines you see through the field of vision instead of it just being clear. Keep in mind, this is my first monocular telescope since I was a kid so look elsewhere for technical or experienced feedback. The build quality is good and when I got it focused in the optics were good but it wasn't right for me and how I intended to use it.

Clear and Bright
This is a great monocular for the price. It is heavy and the lens brings in a lot of light, which allows for spotting in dim light. It is fairly ergonomic, though the focus knob is on the stiff side. This is not a one-hand spotter for sure. It includes a mounting point as well. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking into this magnification range.
