I was renting a different brand and it did not have wheel locks on it very hard to use. bought this one and it does have wheel locks. What a different. And the cost, I was paying 125.00 a month to rent with no chance of owning it. I bought this one for a little over $500.00. And it is all mine... Know that is a deal.....

This lift is as pictured but seeing it up close it exceeded my expectations. It's very sturdy and safe. It's so easy to roll around and operate. Set up was easy enough. I'm very happy with this purchase.Update..... I contacted by email the sales department of the manufacturer, Proactive Medical Products, about a missing thumbscrew part. Their customer service was excellent. Very fast reply and they immediately shipped out the missing part. A very good company to do business with.

While not its intended purpose, we primarily purchased this to help when my 82 year old 225lb father slips to floor, and too weak to get up. It is perfect for this. I can't recommend highly enough reading the review by Daniel M. Hart that has many good pointers on this subject.Very solid construction, easy to assemble and use, although you will benefit from watching some YouTube videos on how to use this type of lift - a Hoyer lift.Finally, I read all the reviews, and the few negative ones - I felt were without merit. About being too heavy to assemble, I do understand this, but the weight is clearly marked. It is indeed heavy. About the hydraulic lift slowly gong down - there is a switch that prevents this, and I suspect that user did not realize it has to be flipped to prevent this.Finally, seller service was excellent, as a small screw as missing, the thumb screw for lock a bar into place. Not essential, and I could have easily bought, but they promptly send.Great product, and highly recommend.

The size ordered is too large, makes handling very difficult, patient slides too easily when trying to position in chair. Material is too slick.

It was pretty much assembled!!!! Would’ve given it 5 stars but the top was cracked. Really will help with grandpa. Just two things to put together and I was done. Had my brother bring box in. The rest I did myself. I’m a girl too :-)

Sturdy and works well

Assembly was simple and didn’t take very long. A lot bigger and bulkier than expected but it does get the job done. Box came completely damaged but the parts seem fine.
