Lexicon Janvier 18" x 15" End Table, Brown

This is a beautiful, solid piece. The drawers move smoothly, and the knobs are modern. It's the perfect size for my space and looks great with my actual MCM filing cabinet. However, for $360 I expected this to arrive in perfect condition. It was pretty well packaged but apparently not good enough. It's a heavy box, over 100 lbs, and I'm pretty sure it was dropped on something. The box was busted in a few spots and the wood veneer actually chipped off in several spots where the damage was done to the box. Also, there's two spots where the wood is messed up and because its still got the veneer intact I think it happened in manufacturing and should have been caught in QC, but wasn't. Oh, and I can't forget the legs! Each set of legs is supposed to be held on with 5 screws. Execpt on one side they forgot to drill the holes for two screws, and the other side is missing one. It's never good to finish putting together furniture and find yourself with three leftover screws! But that's what we had, and nothing to be done for it. It still feels stable so hopefully it will remain that way over time. For the price of this piece I expected it to arrive in a lot better shape than it did.

1. Product was damaged in shipping, and I don't think that's Amazon's fault. Amazon's customer service were great and offered either a partial refund, free replacement, or return.2. The desk is TALL! I don't know who can sit at this desk as it sits. It's sort of in a limbo height between standing and sitting. But if you are short or don't have a tall chair, this desk will probably be too tall for you.This is maybe crazy but we are going to cut about 4 inches off each of the legs to make this work for us.3. Quality is very good. Good finish, sturdy, and a nice drawers (mine just was just damaged in a few places during shipping

This is a beautiful desk and counter heights are hard to come by in desks. The desk arrived damaged as shown in the first picture. The wood was split on the middle drawer, which is a shame and there seems to be no way to contact the seller. My other issue with this desk was that there were no holes drilled into the inside of the legs for the screws meant to stabilize the center lower back of the desk. I had to drill holes myself, which isn't ideal for a product that you buy and hope to have proper manufacturing. I like the look of it overall, but wish there was customer service to address the issue of the split wood on the drawer. I didn't spend over $300 to receive split wood.

Similar to the other reviewer, the desk arrived with a small dented corner. It's a very large and heavy piece and though it was packaged with styrofoam it looked like the outermost cardboard covering was pretty beat up. When we tried to screw in the legs, we noticed on one side the holes created to put the screws in were misaligned on one side. We managed to put in 3 of the 5 screws so the desk stands normally as it should. However, as another reviewer mentioned, one of the legs is shorter than the other so we had to place cardboard under one leg so it wouldn't teeter. It's a pretty desk, but darker in color than pictured and a bit more traditional looking than I would have like. I was going for mid-century modern, but I don't think that's what it looks like in reality.

I'm a graduate student that wanted to invest in my first long-term coffee table. For the price, this seems to be a good investment. It's heavy and I don't have to worry about my dog knocking it over and the color is gorgeous. My only qualm is that when I was unpacking it out of the box, there were a couple of loose screws that fell out of the drawer and I was clueless as to where they belonged. It seems they got loose and fell out of place during transit.

This is such a beautiful and sturdy table, but we were really disappointed when we put it together to see that it had two large dents in it. This item is so heavy that I just don't have it in me to send it back. It is in a part of our house that hopefully the dents won't be noticed. Additionally, it is wobbly. I will end up placing something underneath the leg that is a bit shorter than the rest. We really wanted to buy the whole set of this I thought we'd give this piece of try. I'm not sure I will purchase the others despite how lovely it looks.

This is a very beautiful , good quality end table. Very sturdy. But... it have some defects in the wood stain. In some spots the stain is missing completely or poorly done. This table was so well packaged it was impressive to see.

Bought this for my wife’s study and it’s more beautiful in person. The wood is a nice color, sturdy, nice size drawers. Beautiful desk. 4 stars because only bad thing is that the desk was dinged in the corner and didn’t realize it until it was fully assembled and upright. Didn’t want to go through the hassle of dissembling and sending it back. A beautiful picture frame covers it perfectly.
