Charged my phone for 3 days and not dead yet
I have just done a trip where I used this backup battery to charge my phone for 3 days. It isn't even close to empty. The lights still have 2 out of five illuminated. So it is under half full and not close to empty. I have taken this on long camping trips and let my friends fully recharge their phones and it hasn't come close to being empty. I have never had to try to recharge the battery pack using the solar panels, but those are an absolutely last resort according to the way it was made anyway. I have been able to trust this charger so much, I don't want to rely on anything new!

Durable
I got this charger for when I am in the field and have no access to anything. The charger is durable and did great just being thrown in my ruck. It is pretty heavy. Heavier than I thought it would be but I was able to get 8 solid charges for my phone out of it. The solar charge does take a while but I think that is typical for solar power.

Works great, need to avoid the heat
This charged my iPhone 8 Plus and Garmin Fenxix 3HR several times. When I left the unit in the sun to recharge on hotter days, the battery pack got hot and seemed not to recharge (about 95-100 and direct sun). On cooler days, a little cooler (85-90 and direct sun), it charged up quickly. Probably could wrap the pack in something to keep it from getting hot, but then you're down to two panels. In any case, it worked for me.

The Dude Abides
So far, so good. Got this for a long motorcycle trip in which case this charger would be powering my GPS device(s) while supplementing it's power via solar power. I put it in the top clear section of my tankbag & it worked well. It got kinda hot, but that's what happens when the sun's intense rays are pounding a dark surface like this for hours on end. Also, the journey, which went through several states, began in the valley of the sun (AZ) in August(summertime). That probly has somethin' to do with the heat too, haha. It's capacity is MASSIVE. The LEDs work well & it charges via USB to pwr outlet quickly. No complaints! Great Buy!

Able to charge devices many times, but solar panels don't work
Original posting 9/16/2018: I bought this charger 6 months ago specifically for a camping trip (that sadly got cancelled). I debated what rating to give this charger and decided on 2 stars. I love that I am able to charge my phone and other devices many times with a single charge. Up until recently, I have recharged the power bank by plugging it into the wall. However, last week I decided to try out the solar recharging. The indicator lights on the power bank show it is "charging". But I finally gave up after having it in direct sunlight after 3 days. The power bank is still at the same level as when it started. I would have thought it it would have converted some sunlight into stored energy after 3 days. But apparently not.If you don't mind the weight of the power bank, it's great for charging multiple devices or a single device multiple times. But if you are looking for a device that can recharge in the sun, I'd say look elsewhere. In my experience, this power bank would leave me without a power supply after I drain it (from a wall charge).Edited 9/29/2018: The seller contacted me recently apologizing for the difficulties I was having with the product. They reminded me that there is a 12-month warranty and/or I could receive a refund. They explained that this charger "usually takes 40-50 hours to be fully charged under direct and strong sunlight, which is used for outdoor emergency." Because my charger had been in full direct sunlight for 3 days and wasn't charging, I opted for the replacement charger. I am updating my review to 3 stars, based on the seller honoring the warranty. After I have had some time to put this replacement charger through its paces, I intend providing another update. Hopefully, the new unit will work as intended.

First Impression: Great capacity, usefulness
I've had this backup battery for one week so far (will update again after a few months) and used it last weekend while our group was out of town. With this power-bank, I was able to recharge several phones throughout the day, (fast charging) and still had 50-75% capacity leftover. I know/understand that the solar panels might not charge this battery very quickly, but it will recharge it, and keep it topped off when it's not in use. It doesn't feel flimsy - it is solid, heavy-duty, and so long as the connections last (report back in a few months) this should last a long time.

I'm very happy I purchased this
A real nice unit. It was a bit heavier than I thought it would be I'm sure that's because the facts got a strong battery in it. I've charged up my phone several times and I'm still at three-quarters of a charge.I've used the solar. And yes it will take forever to get a full charge. But that's not the point. It's there in case of a real emergency and the power is out for an extended period of time. Nice also when I'm camping. It has a very nice cover with a snap-on to protect the solar panels. The only thing I didn't like is the cover that goes over the USB and charging ports. It is somewhat thin and flimsy. This is the type of unit I would take with me on a camping trip etc. If the cover comes off, dirt dust etc. could get into the ports.

Great buy!
Great buy for the price easy to use 2 usb changing ports is a slow charge but to be expected with a handheld unit the light on the unit is VERY bright and solar charger works awesome
