These are fabulous!
I bought these for a mission style futon I had just got. I didn't realize how low to the ground these are! I actually bought the futons for my cats so I had a place to sit with all of them and could pet them. We have a sofa and love seat in the living room but this was for the cat play room.I was mortified when I sat on the futon for about an hour and could not get up! I had to yell for my husband who was then cracking up from seeing me stuck. He suggested bed risers. I said we'll see. The reviews on risers were mostly bad showing them cracked and with sofa legs puncturing them. Too risky! I found these and ordered even without knowing if they would fit. I was thrilled when they did!I love knowing they are made of metal so they are sturdy. I love the bottom part that is rubber to keep the risers from slipping either on carpet or a floor. I love that you bolt the bottom pieces to the risers. All added stability! They are easy to put on an provide lots of storage under the futon though in my case it's just cats waiting to attack a tail hanging over the edge of said futon. To clarify, I only have 6 cats and a dog that thinks she's a cat. I do feed close to 20 feral cats outside though. They have an outdoor sofa and bean bag chairs in the screen house. Lol, yes I am a crazy cat lady.Oh my futon legs were exactly the size of the top of the risers. They are rectangular but the risers came with these 2 foam pads per leg that we used to fill the square space. It worked perfectly but no clue if that's what they were meant for or not. Bottom line, this is a great product! Buy with confidence that the extra money is worth it.

Excellent product that will last.
After reading many reviews about bed risers, we decided to purchase these because the plastic risers (even the heavy-duty ones) sometimes fail and collapse. These would be used on the queen sized bed of a wonderful 80 year old woman so risking injury to her was NOT an option. I love that these came with the option to purchase 6 risers since that is the number of legs on this bed frame. Many companies only sell them in sets of 4, requiring you to purchase two sets and being left with 2 "extras."Our bed frame has wheels and these risers are designed to work with wheels. So many of the reviews that mention collapsing seem to be caused by users who removed the wheels. This places a sharp edge with no way to distribute the weight properly. Keep the wheels on, if your bed frame has them. These risers include a rubber-like, u-shaped cup designed to stabilize the wheels. Inside the metal risers is a cross-bar design that runs the entire length of the metal leg. Even if the stabilizing cup were to fail, the weight of the bed would continue to be supported by the design of these risers.Additionally, these flare towards the bottom and have a rubberized bottom that will prevent your floor from being scratched or damaged.Assembly was easy and straightforward and quick. We have complete confidence that these will last forever and will never fail. They cost a little more than other risers on the market but the peace of mind knowing my mom is safe in her bed is priceless. This is a quality product that serves two purposes for us: it provides additional storage space utilizing dead space and it provides additional height to the bed making it easier for my mom to rise off the bed without assistance and without causing pain.We highly recommend these bed risers. Just don't try to modify your bed frame. These can be used with wheels/casters but will be equally effective with a standard bed frame. We got the 5 1/2 inch risers which are the perfect height for our needs. This company offers no incentive for a good review, this is our honest assessment of this product.

Perfectly safe and sound for our needs!
I originally bought 2 (5.5 inch) sets for two twin beds; the material was very sturdy and easy to put together. My twin beds were already a little higher, so this extra height allowed a lot of extra storage space which is what we needed. Two college kids slept in these beds without any issues. I just bought another two sets for a queen Temperpedic mattress on wood bed frame. I was a little concerned about the weight and we were going to build our own risers but we decided to test the twin stands on it first. The stands hold the bed weight with no problems and keep it in place just fine. The queen did take 7 stands though because there were three extra support legs in the middle. But the bed is not going anywhere. All our beds are in corners, so safety is not a concern - because even if my teenager came running at full speed and pounced on the bed there is no way the bed can move enough to slide off the stand. All beds are on plush carpet, so that too helps prevent unwanted movement that a wood floor might do; however - I don't think these would slip on a wood floor due to the rubber mat on the bottom. I really don't understand the bad reviews -- we think these are durable, safe, and perfect for our needs!
