Reduced a star after testing - battery pack is good, solar panel is duff
Update: worked great for five or six days' worth of charge on my camping trip but please note, the solar charge feature DOES NOT WORK. It's either a gimmick or may even not be wired in, because I never managed to charge battery or phone a single solitary percentage point using solar, even though we had 35c temperatures and blazing sun the whole time. So be warned, don't get this for the solar feature.I bought this for a 7-8 day camping/biking trip where there may be no access to charge sockets, and I want to use my phone for GPS/communication etc. for the whole duration. I am not going to describe the product in detail as others have done but share the results of my tests so far (I haven't done the trip yet, so that report will follow):I fully charged the device (which takes a full 24 hours on my regular phone charger - yes, you read that right!) and then over the next few days, with relatively frugal use of my phone (not getting below 30% charge at the end of most days' use and TURNING MY PHONE OFF OVERNIGHT - very important) I managed to charge my Xiaomi smartphone - which can easily do a full day on a single charge except with very heavy use - a total of 4-and-a-half times. This means I can go on my trip with a full charge and then hopefully get an additional 4.5 days out of it - so maybe 5-6 days autonomy, perhaps a little more if I am very careful, turn off data/network/wifi when I don't need it etc. But you do have to turn your phone off overnight while charging (the device will stop charging once your phone is full) if you want to get this 4-5 days out of it because that's 20% or more of your charge wasted otherwise. The solar feature I didn't have very high hopes for, not with such a small and probably cheap solar panel. But I figured it would be great if it could give me another half a day's autonomy, say. To test I left the (completely empty) device in a window that gets partial sun (about 3-4 hours per day), and full daylight for the rest of the time, for three full days. Have a guess how many times I was able to charge my phone off it when the 3 days were up! NOT A SINGLE PERCENTAGE POINT OF CHARGE, NOTHING. In fact, it almost seems odd. Maybe it needs brighter sunlight, maybe it's faulty! Really, NOTHING?! I will still try to use sunlight on my trip (it means rigging it on my bike somehow to be exposed the whole time) but I am not hopeful, instead I will bring another couple more power banks I have to extend my autonomy. Maybe I will be proven wrong if we get a lot more sun.In short, great device for the autonomy, but don't get it for the solar feature - even if it does work the additional autonomy will be minimal.

Ok if you have good weather I.e no rain no clouds basically no British weather
When first got this the first thing I did was put on normal charge to get it half charged up because it was fully empty once half charged up by normal electricity I waited for good to be able to put outside to get it fully charged but even then it struggled to get charged up by normal day light. The battery life is hard to tell how good it is has now the weather isn't all that am unable to get it charge up by Sun light and because all ports are open and there no covers to them this means this charger is not water or dust etc and also pointless if I got to be constantly charging it by using electricity and its bulky and slightly heavy so it not very traveler friendly

Jury is still out on this one.
I've only had the item for a few days so I'm still in the process of evaluating if, but these are my first impressions and concerns. The dot matrix led charge display is initially very confusing and I couldn't understand what all the numbers mean. Then I realised that it's not actually a proper led dot matrix display at all. The numbers 25 50 75 100 are actually transparently etched into a black plastic panel and there are several plain leds under the panel which shine through to illuminate the numbers. The more the remaining charge the more of the numbers illuminate, so for a low charge you would just see the 25, and for a full charge you would see 25 50 75 100. The display fades from right to left depending on how much charge has been used. It's okay when you get used to it but it's not as good as a proper led display which simply shows one number showing the remaining charge as a percentage. The instructions state that the 3-led light can be turned on and off by long pressing the power button, but that doesn't work. You actually need to double click the button instead. When a device attached to the Powerbank has fully charged and stops drawing current, the Powerbank switches off and you need to press the power button on the Powerbank to turn it back on again. This means that you can't trickle charge an attached device to keep it fully charged. For example, I put my phone on charge overnight when it was at 80% and the Powerbank charged it up to 100% But it then switched off and by the morning the phone had dropped to about 90% again. I don't know if this is a common feature of all Powerbanks or just this particular make and model.I'll continue to update this review as I continue to use the product.

Nice product, great price but slow charging
This was a pretty good product for the price, it's definitely worth it.Worked on the go well, didn't charge particularly quickly. A bit big and heavy for a pocket. But you'd expect that so not too bothered, keep it in a rucsak or in a side pocket and it's perfect.I did find that when there was 25% left, it didn't charge very well. Perhaps it would've been better to get one with a % indicator so I could see how much power was actually left. The solar charging was pretty useful on occasion. I sometimes kept it on the dash of the car and it would charge a bit, but it would take an eternity to fully charge this via solar power, after 8 hrs when I was at work it had charged to 50%. More of a gimmic than actual functionality. If buying this product. I would suggest turning the phone off when charging as it does charge slower than others I've used in the past.
