Makes a huge difference to heat output
I have had my stove for about 15 years now and I hate to think of the wasted energy over that time. I decided to buy this fan and try it out.First of all it is a lot smaller than I envisaged even though the measurements are clearly noted on the item. I felt a little disappointed and though that it would be no good, however I gave it a try. It made a huge difference as soon as I placed it on top of the stove. Installation is as simple as unboxing and putting it in place. As soon as the stove surface is up to temperature (around 50 degrees) the fan spins and it pushes warm air out into the room that might otherwise go up the chimney. It really is a little wonder.

HOT Stuff
This little fan was purchased as a replacement for our old fan and we’re very impressed.Quick delivery, we’ll packaged & useful instructions! The fan is small but it definitely pushes more hot air than our previous, larger model. This fan also starts-up at a much lower temperature than our previous fan and it is just about silent! 5* all round from us; great purchase!

Turbo charge your stove.
A stove using just naturally rising warm air to circulate heat into the room is moving air very slowly. Air therefore insulates the stove holding the heat in or near to the stove. This little fan generates it's own electricity, using the stove's heat absorbed through the base. That powers a small electric motor, which drives the blades of the fan (from about 5o degrees C) the speed increases as the stove gets hotter. The heat output is FAR, FAR better than I expected. It really is like a turbocharger, once the stove is hot it really shifts air.My wife was 'reluctant', worried that the fan would detract from the look of the stove, but this one is small and unobtrusive, you hardly notice it.., partly because the best site for it is on top, at the back of the stove where it draws cooler air, protecting the motor wires from excessive heat, and blowing air over the stove's hot surface. It has gained my wife's approval. The motor and blades are necessarily light, but the frame surrounding them is solid and sturdy protection. Before owning the fan we used to gradually open the lounge door and heat the house as heat from the stove increased. Now the door is open much faster, the jumpers come off and we use less wood.I don't hear the fan unless I listen hard... The only noise problem comes from elderly relatives snoring as they get too snug! I'm glad I didn't get anything bigger, I do recommend it and would certainly replace it if necessary.

Perfect for small space.
This is just what i have been looking for, since having our log burner installed. As this was installed into an existing chimney, space was at a premium. All the other fans were (unfortunately) too tall. Despite its small size, it does make a difference to the heat in the room. We do, have room for another fan, on the other side of the flue and I am currently "experimenting" with moving the fan to different positions to try and find the optimum place for heat distribution. The chimney breast, above the burner, does not get as hot, as before the fan, so this also proves it is directing heat into the room. A well designed and manufactured unit which looks both good and sturdy. Another bonus is, no leads or batteries required!.

Small but powerful, but silence is golden
Had the fan for 18 months now and until now been very pleased with it BUT it has now developed a loud click which is most irritating. Tried oiling it, moving it but to no avail. Was thinking about getting a second one but not now. Information indicates that there is only a 1 year warranty on the fan, not very reassuring as I expected then item to last a few years at least.

Very Happy Customer
We have a small multi fuel burner in an alcove/fireplace, so was interested in moving the heat in the alcove into the room. We'd seen these before, but not tried one. As the height from the top of the burner to the plate was small we needed a small fan to fit the space. So read the reviews placed the odrer and this was delivered quicker than originally stated. So the first time we used it we were impressed. I'd seen a review on amazon of a similar product online where the user had cut a strips of paper to show the air movement. So we did similar and it showed the air movement into the room. You could also feel the movement on your face, moving from one side of the burner to the fan assisted side. So happy with the investment and looking forward to a warmer room or reduction in fuel being used. Happy days !
