Q: From the dimensions what are the height and depth?

As you look at it, 14” is across (width of half-shelf in fridge) x 12” front to back (depth) & the 8” is in height (top to bottom).

Q: how does this plug in?

The Original is 12VDC powered and power reaches the unit through a small cable the inserts under the fridge gasket on the hinge side of the door. The power cable is white and 12' long.

Q: Owners: what results have you gotten from this product?

It does a great job at dry aging, a little too great. if you don't want to cut half the meat off, don't dry age more than 3 weeks. A week to two is more than good. The first time I did it, I had it going for 45 days, at 30 I could smell the steak outside the refrigerator, the second time I went 17 days and it was fantastic.

Q: Is this the new updated steakager?

I think I bought the updated one. But it wasn't really worth it unless you have $200 that you just don't need. Parts didn't fit etc.
