Specific use item
Make no mistake about it....the bristles are not soft. In fact, they are comperably quite rigid. This brush works well on a soiled fabric stain which requires some work; however, I would not use on leather. Another use would be in the ingine bay, yet I have not used it for such purpose yet.

Cheap construction, great at cleaning
The brush works very well for the price. It's becoming my main interior cleaning brush. However, the head comes off the handle fairly easily on both brushes I've purchased. Maybe this is a "feature" so you can clean tighter areas, but it's really not glued on very well. It also loses a bristle or two each time I use it. Still, for the price it's one of the best things I've have in my detailing toolbelt.

May potentially scratch your interior.
Like other reviewers have pointed out, the bristles are firm. It even says so on the tag, but I wish that Amazon's description included this very important info. I would use it to clean engine parts and small stains on the carpet, but not the dashboard and center console since the bristles may leave fine scratches.Pros: Long bristles, excellent handle and build quality.Cons: Bristles are too firm for dashboard and center console use.

Broke right out of the box
As soon as I received the detail brush it broke. After moving the bristles around the wood handle separated from the wood handle. The glue that holds the handle to the bristles is not good quality. I don't know if this is a consistent issue or I was just unlucky. The bristles were quite rough for my purpose of cleaning leather car seats. I would use something less abrasive.

Very stiff but not unusable
Bristles are much stiffer than expected. So i wouldnt use it for interior detailing since you can actually scratch some surfaces. But for the price it is pretty good. I am mainly using it for engine compartment and wheelwells.

For cleaning parts.
Stiff bristles as on a floor-scrubbing brush. Not for dainty work. Good enough for scubbing the daylights out of auto parts and the like.
