GE CSB9120SJSS Cafe Advantium 30" Stainless Steel Electric Single Wall Oven - Convection

We're VERY HAPPY with this GE Cafe Advantium. It replaced a GE Monogram that we owned for about 10 years. We had numerous microtron tube issues with that oven, and really did not want to purchase another GE product. However, the features for this GE Cafe oven were so much better than competitive brands for the price, and the reviews we read were so positive, that we decided to give GE another try.So far, so good. Love the LARGE size of the oven...very deep and very wide. We installed it in the same cabinet space as our old GE, and were able to do so without any carpentry adjustment, which was nice...just put it in the cavity, plugged it in, and installed four screws. Even so, the cooking area in this oven is much larger than the old GE, and from what we could find, larger than most competitive brands that fit in the same cabinet space, or even larger cabinet space.We have not yet consulted the owners manual to operate the microwave. It's that easy to use. Functions are very intuitive, and the cooking quality is great...always the right temperature. We were not sure if we'd like the turn knob, as it looks "analog", compared to the electronic controls, but it turns out that it's really nice to use, and a great way to select functions and options.The very large turntable is great. One strange thing though...the carriage that is underneath the glass turntable has "TOP" printed on the metal, so when we installed it we made sure that "TOP" faced UP. 'turns out that it would constantly come off the axle that turned it. Our solution was to flip it upside down, and it's been working great ever since.Another strange thing is that the clock goes to sleep about a minute after showing. We moved through options on the control panel on how to change this, and consulted the owners manual, but to no avail. For us it's not a big deal as the convection oven under this oven also has a clock.We've not yet used the speed cook or convection cook functions, but Thanksgiving is around the corner, and we're looking forward to giving that a try.

Bought this as second oven and found that the use of the oven or the microwave involves interchanging the internal components like the carousel platters and baking rack. Microwave is under powered when compared to an identical wattage straight GE microwave. The carousel always rotates thereby making it worthless if one wants to use this for pans like cookie sheets as they would hit the edges unless small pans used. We basically have a very expensive mediocre microwave and warmer. When the oven feature was used, the results were poor so we only use our main oven and use this as a microwave.The display just went out and unit needs repair or just tossed. It is too bad that it seems that no one just makes a basic oven replacement where racks could be used.

Bought last year somewhere else. DO NOT BUY THIS. The reason we purchased it last year is we had one from 13 years ago that was wonderful. The new one is no where near as nice. Clock won't stay on either like our last model. Customer service not helpful.

This expensive microwave is worthless. 3 motherboards later it never was a convection oven, broiler worked shortly after replacement of motherboards like 2 times then dead. GE is incredibly difficult to get a hold of on the phone, email, etc. They refused to replace this LEMON product. Check other reviews on line and pass this up. I couldn't select ) stars.
