The unit turns itself off entirely if one pauses a disc for more than a very short time. The volume controls are very inconveniently situated in the center and need to pushed so hard that the entire unit moves in response. I would not purchase this item again.

bought as a gift

The original logo was painted out and replaced with a sticker. There were no operating instructions. You can't scan to a specific spot on a track. Radio reception weak.

Did not working when arrived.

It's a very nice CD/MP 3 player. As I'm not very techno it took me a while to figure out how to select the CD and to hit play but it wasn't very hard. Also, there is a cardboard protecting the CD mechanism that needs to be removed that I didn't notice at first. Now that it's playing I like it very much and it's so hard to find anything in the color white. It has a good sound quality to it. It's also nice because it isn't super big so it fits perfectly on my shelf.

The user manual isn’t easy to follow, it’s only on the second page (second line) that it tells you to press on the FUN/EQ button to select either radio or cd mode, this should be explained just after the power button section.
