NEXPEAK Brake Fluid Tester Pen – the must tool to keep safe driving The tester can be used as a digital brake fluid tester suitable for determining brake fluid quality. Developed for professional use in automotive repair shops and in servicing. Quality is tested and included on five LEDs in terms of "per cent of water in the brake fluid". Operation Guideline: 1. Unscrew the brake fluid reservoir, and pull off the cap of the Brake fluid tester. Dip the test probes into the brake fluid up to the plastic rim of the device. 2. Press the button for power on, green LED will light up. Insert the tester into reservoir for one second then the tester result will be correctly indicated by LEDs. Repress the button for power off. The tester will automatically power off after about 15 seconds of inactivity. Tester Specification: 1. To check the quality of brake fluid quality 2. 5 LEDs to indicate percentage of water in the brake fluid 3. Automatically power off 4. Operated by a LR03 AAA 1.5V battery. Indicator Instruction: 1.5 LEDs indicating the water % in the brake fluid: 2.0% light indicates that the battery is OK, no replacement 3.1% light indicates that moisture content of brake oil less than 1%, brake fluid has a good performance, and ease of use. 4.2% light indicates that moisture content of brake oil less than 2%, brake fluid can be continued to use 5.3% light indicates that moisture content of brake oil less than 3%, proposed to replace brake fluid. 6.4% light indicates that moisture content of brake oil less than 4%, brake fluid should be replaced immediately. 7.Note: Due to the difference between different monitors, the picture may not reflect the actual color of the item. it break after some use.
Low price, easy to use. I am not sure its accuracy. As when ever put the stick into the brake fluid reservoir, it reads as ok. And the fluid has not been changed for nearly 2 years.As did a test to put it into water, it immediately went highest.The most unsatisfied prospect would be after like 2 uses, the plastic seems to be corroded, and brake when remove the cap.I would definitely wish I could have a better quality tester.

Works but battery cover pops off
This tester works fine, I even tested it with a sample of new brake fluid and a measured amount of water to see if was reasonably accurate and it was, certainly for the price. But, it is very aggravating because the door that covers the battery compartment does not latch firmly and is always falling off. I was even demonstrating it for a friend and the door popped off and fell into the brake fluid and had to be fished out. I solved the problem by putting a piece of tape over the door, but this is not right for an item that is 2 days old!

Don’t buy it!!
My boyfriend used it once and it broke. This is his second one from this company! Will not buy again!

Must have tool, well worth the price
This is very little money to spend for a tool that is really necessary for any adequate evaluation or maintenance of a car or truck. Highly recommended.

Fall apart the first time I used it, very cheaply made. I had to fish pieces out of my brake fluid reservoir!

Works test different brake fluids different lights come on but no way for me to tell the amounts of moisture

Don't buy
Broke after first test. Bought three, one for each of our lube techs. All had same problem ( brake fluid eats housing ) went back to test strips
