The Rough Guide to Babies & Toddlers
Product ID: 73475396
The Rough Guide to Babies & Toddlers is the funny, reassuring and practical guide that all new (and old) parents have been looking for - with no judgmental guru-speak about the right way to do things, just a range of great solutions for you to choose from. Written by the award-winning author Kaz Cooke, an author and mother whose trademark light-hearted practical style and witty cartoons make this book pleasurable as well as informative. The user-friendly sections are inspired by real-life - chapters include 'Getting through the first weeks', which gives new mums and dads the low-down on bosoms, bottles, bonding, the blues, and mum's post-baby body. Realistic and with a healthy sense of humour, the guide offers practical suggestions for dozens of scenarios you might encounter with your new bundle of joy or little terror, as well as addressing what you might be going through as new parents - don't miss the hilarious "How to Be Perfect" routine for new mums: adjust push-up bra, exfoliate feet, clean up sick! The eagerly awaited sequel to the best-selling The Rough Guide to Pregnancy & Birth is finally here to save your sanity with good advice, great humour and a lot of understanding! Review: Funny. Non-preaching. Worth having on the shelf. - I was given Kaz Cookes other book, pregnancy and birth. I thought it would be the same as the other dozen I had been given and promptly hidden in the cupboard. But I found it really helpful so decided to buy this one too. It is funny, informative and doesn't preach. It states the obvious, which frankly was what I wanted to know as i knew nothing even if it is obvious to others! It is a great book to dip in and out of when you just want to know about something specific. There are no 'techniques' or guaranteed solutions, just good old fashioned experience. Review: GREAT book, Laugh-out-loud-and-learn - Just what we needed. A light-hearted look at the sometimes nightmarish and baffling world of parenting. Like many books, this is a great guide to what to expect, do's and don'ts etc. What sets this book apart from the rest is the sense of humour used to convey the information, just "take a look inside", and right from the off this book will have you laughing, whilst still conveying the information you want from a parenting book. This book is like a breath of fresh air, and as a dad-to-be, having the concentration span of a distracted goldfish, it's the only 'what-to-expect' kinda book that holds my interest.

Very helpful
I chose this book because during pregnancy I read Kaz Cooke's 'Rough Guide To Pregnancy' which was my bible for the whole 9 months. This book is every bit as reassuring and useful. I bought it when my newborn was 1 week old, I only wish I had it at home ready when I came home from hospital with the baby as it has tips and advice on things I never knew I needed to know! It also has a twist of humour which you really need when you are a sleep deprived new parent!

Another fantastic read by Kaz Cooke
Life as a parent by Kaz Cooke couldn't be any more real. This is a great lighthearted insight into parenthood but also an informative read. I'm only partially through the book so far but it is as good as Kaz's first.. If not better!!

The best baby bible out there
We were bought on of these when our daughter was born, so when my friend announced her pregnancy I knew I had to get her a copy. It's straight to the point, well written and easy to understand perfect for a stressed and tired new parent!

Loved the book ROugh Guide to pregnancy
Loved the book ROugh Guide to pregnancy, so bought this however its not in the same style as the other one and I have never really read much of it - its more in chapters about topics, rather than something that progresses as your baby grows up

love it
Ive bought this after reading the Pregnancy & Birth guide. I havent finished reading but I already love it, it is informative without forcing any opinions on you. Kaz is funny and refreshing. I bought other "Baby-Care" books but did not finish them as they were informative, yes, but extremely boring. Can not recommend this highly enough.
