100% recommended upgrade over stock shocks!!!
EXCELLENT upgrade for my 2006 Ford F-350 Super Duty 6.0L Powerstroke. My truck has just over 70,000mi on the original stock shocks... and while the rear shocks were wearing out, the front shocks were completely gone. They were VERY easy to compress, and then they wouldn't rebound without assistance... yikes! Needless to say the front-end was very bouncy and lacked any sort of planted feeling when going over uneven road surface. These shocks literally made the truck drive like a whole new truck!! Granted, any shock would be an upgrade over what I had... but Bilstein is a brand I've trusted many times in the past, and they've never let me down. Very well built shock with excellent dampening abilities. Plus they tune their shocks to each specific application... so you know you're getting a product intended to give you a top notch experience. This is one of those upgrades that I put on the "don't think about it, just do it!" column when considering what your next upgrade to the truck will be. Under $300 for all four corners shipped to your door... easy install in your driveway (don't even need to take any tires off)... and a completely better-in-every-way riding truck!

Great product!
After reading the reviews, I was hesitant to buy. All my other shocks came compressed and these didn’t.I called my local mechanic and he assured me that’s completely normal and how to get them compressed to install. Simple almost embarrassed I had to ask. Prep the area, put your weight on the shock to compress install top and slip in the bottom easy simple and what a difference. Love them!!Great product!

Very high quality
The ride is pretty firm at first after a while it settles downa little bit it’s smooth but not jarring or really harsh even with the Michelin at2s it’s little firmer then I would like but it’s ok I’m replacing those terrible tires soon enough they ride like wagon wheels on my f350 these shocks made the ride very stable the ranchos were a really smooth ride but the bouncyness and the poor handling was enough for me to make the switch to the 5100 if you on the fence just get the Billstjne 5100 they are better then the 4600s they do have a higher gas charge then the 4600s

Greatly Improved Ride Quality
I didn't have to take the wheel off to install. I removed the old one, inserted the new one at the top, used a jack to compress it enough to get the bottom onto the bracket and screwed it down. It was a lot easier than I expected. Ride and handling is greatly improved. Cost was a third less than comparable Ranchos (9000xl). The included directions weren't very clear, but they really didn't need to be. The rubber boot is sometimes bunched up and secured with a zip tie. I sprayed some lubricant on the shaft near the boot and just shimmied it down. That way I didn't have to cut and reattach a zip tie.2011 F-250 4X4

Great shocks
One of the best shocks I've ever used. Rough Country shocks don't even compare to these. I was so impressed i threw my Rough Country steering stablelizer shocks away and ordered Bliston steering stablelizer shocks. Man what a different.

Great comfortable ride, very responsive to the road.I would recommend these to anyone with any type of vehicle, these shocks were designed for the Autobahn, so I guarantee they will last for you.

Major upgrade
This was an excellent upgrade and makes my 2006 F-350 CC DRW (46k miles) ride much better. The rid his still rough but these shocks (all the way around) made a major improvement in ride quality. They eliminated 100% of the "impact jarring" the stock shocks produced. Its still a big truck with heavy towing capacity and will never ride like a Cadillac - but the ride is now very similar with other Ford trucks we have owned. Specifically brings to mind our previous Eddie Bauer Explorers 4WD. I simply can't understand why Ford didn't tune their shocks this way from the beginning.Installation was relatively easy and I never took off the tires or lived the truck from the ground. The rears took 25 minutes with an electric impact and were simple to swap. The fronts were a major battle requiring dual box wrenches turning in opposite directions to loosen. Drivers side actually broke the shock bolt (by hand) and passengers side had to sawzall the bolt as it was totally rusted on. After that, they (front) installed with an allen wrench and box wrench. If this was done professionally with a lift, the install would be 30 minutes not 2 hours like Shadetree Mechanic laying on my driveway.Strongly recommend you upgrade to this shock and would have given five stars if I hadn't looked at my knuckles and seen the battle scars from this installation!

2006 ford f350 4X4 6.0 Powerstroke.
My 2006 Ford F350 6.0 Powerstroke 4X4 truck came with the OEM 2" front and 4" rear blocks to raise the truck. It came new that way. I only mention that because these shocks work with that height. I've been running the yellow Monroe shocks on my truck for many, many years. I didn't realize how bad the Monroe shocks were until I installed these shocks. I live miles down a dirt road. The Monroe shocks took the potholes badly. I thought it was just the potholes and my 11,200lb suspension package that made the ride awful. As it turn out, these new shocks take the potholes, dips, bumps really well. I wish I bought these (Bilstein 24186018 Series Shock Absorber for Ford F250) years ago. The ride is way better. I'll get these from now on.
