ITMP Pill Crusher, 304 Food-Grade Stainless Steel Vitamin or Pill Grinder (Multiple Pills Crushing to Fine Powder Design) for Feeding Capsule Use or for Pets

My father has dementia and doesn't like to take his meds, to help with his condition and other health problems. With this grinder, I am able to grind it into a fine powder and mix into his smoothie, yogurt, juice, or ice cream. Previous grinders (the small little plastic grinder, hospital metal pill crusher that looks like a staple gun) that I had, did not grind as well, and there would be bits and chunks of medication, that he would spit out. The other grinders was a strain on my fingers, wrists, and arms. Zikee Pill Crusher, no strain. I usually have several bottles of medication already broken up for the weeks, like up to 14. So I don't have to grind up meds each day. Also to make it easier for other family members to administer the meds to my father, when I'm not around. With my old pill crushers, to break up like 8 sets of pills for every 14 bottles, I would be doing it for like an hour and a half, and extremely sore and tired at the end. With Zikee Pill Crusher, I timed myself, 8 pills for 14 bottles, took like 24 minutes and some seconds, without rushing. Was not fatigued afterwards. So anybody in a similar situation that I am in or just hates the strain and time consuming of those old pill crushers, trust me the Zikee Pill Crush is much, much, much, much, much, better.

I thought I wanted a pill crusher. Then, I saw this very interesting little machine and I was intrigued. It looked like I didn't have use my arthritic wrists to twist my pills to powder anymore. I am a elderly person dependent on something to reduce my pills to dust so I can swallow my medicine, so why not take a chance on this. Oh my! How pleased I am with this purchase, perhaps more than any other Amazon buy. This really is a precision-tooled machine with the latest in ceramic grinder blades. It does an excellent and efficient job on all my tablets except for the largest. I guess I will have to use my old crusher for those, at least until they decide to double the size of this grinder. That's right it's not a crusher, it's a grinder!

It does a good job of crushing pills but unless you have a lot of pills at once to crush there's really no need for the crank handle system. However the "crank" may be better for someone with limited hand strength.. I also had a difficult time getting all of the "product" out of the container plus the fact that the top literally froze on the base of the unit and I had to use a pipe wrench to free it. I put some vaseline around the edge of the base so if I have to use it again it should be OK.Regarding using it again, maybe it was just me but I have found the inexpensive plastic crusher where you turn the top with your hand to grind the pill is far superior and much easier to use.

The unit is a good size, not too small for a man's hands to operate. Sturdy and astetically pleasing. The grind is also completely adjustable with a simple twist of a knob, from a rough grind to an ultra-fine powder, whatever your need may be. You can grind many pills at once, from tiny pills to the large coated capsules. The grind is always consistent and almost effortless due to the ceramic grinding mechanism.Takes less than two minutes to grind even a large number of pills even when using an ultra-fine grind. The cup that catches the ground meds is also plenty large enough.

This works perfectly for crushing my mom's pills via feeding tube. So much easier than one by one in the smaller pills crushers.5 pills in the am and 3 pills at night. Toss them in all at the same time, twist and done! Crush them all at the same time.Little rookie tip: make sure completely dry before putting in new pills. The little rubber slot that holds the handle when not in use tore but it's not that big of a deal and does not affect the operation. VERY easy to use and VERY effective. Grinds pills to a very fine powder which I needed but can easily be adjusted to grind pills to different consistencies.

I bought this for my elderly mother who was having difficulty swallowing larger pills. This product was easy to assemble and use (by my mother) and crushed her pills to a size that allowed her to easily swallow them.

A little cumbersome if your disabled hands dont work like they used to. But its a little animal when it comes to turning tablets into powder. Especially non coated tablets. Never choke down a chalky pill again!
