Winix 5500-2 Air Purifier with True HEPA, PlasmaWave and Odor Reducing Washable AOC(TM) Carbon Filter by Winix

I own two air purifiers. One in the bedroom and one in the living room. Filters dust, dander, and other heavy air pollutants from inside of my house. I clean the filters monthly and am amazed at the amount of dirt they collect from my house. I would not live without them. Easy to clean. Works exactly as advertised. Great investment in my health and clean air I breathe.

Much cleaner home. Less dust. Very quiet.

We have been having a lot of work done in our new house so there has been a lot of dust. The Winnex 5500-2 Air Purifier has been great for pulling pollutants out of the air. You can see that it's detecting particles when the color changes from blue to red. You can also hear the motor crank up when the air is not so clean. This also happens when we are cooking dinner, which surprised me when it first happened.I can't speak for longevity yet, but I am not unhappy with the unit so far as it seems to be doing what it was designed to do.

It does the job

Easy to set up almost straight from the box. Light in weight. Quire up until you put it on high so I keep it at level three. Bought the first one for the bedroom about 309 sq ft and two weeks later bought one for the living room which is larger than it's largest operating size but seems to work well. We have 4 dogs and 2 cats and I could tell a definite difference in the bedroom at night. Wasn’t as stuffed up and tge room smelled clean. I’m very happy with this product.

My mother in law constantly complains about her health. You name it I hear about it all the time. Most of the time I think see is making up stuff up. She lives with us so you can imagine how fun it is taking care of her. We got the purifier for our basement because of the oder. It handled that just fine. We put it up in her part of the house during the night she slept with no breathing problems and no headaches. The father in law slept with out coughing. So than you Winnix 5500-2 for some peace in the house.

Ask me again in six months or so. I am optimistic that the Winix air purifier will perform as well as the older model that is being used in another area of my home. The old one has been running 24 hours a day without any problems for years. I bought the new one and its washable filer with a lot of confidence.
