Perfect low profile travel salt and pepper shaker
The media could not be loaded. I am so impressed with this shaker. I travel a lot and like to eat my meal preps as I go. I’m also always trying to reduce single use items like those small salt packets. This was the perfect solution as I can store a good amount of salt with little risk of it spilling in my travel bag. Both sides have a strong fitting gasket that only comes off when you want to remove it to fill. The top flip cap is strong and has not come open on its own. No spills so far! Once you open the cap, there are 2 holes that allow a sprinkle of salt with each tap or shake. Great design so you can control how much you put in your food. It would have been easy to have just been a big hole that pours too much, but they took the time to design this well. The entire housing feels like strong material that won’t crack easily. Seems like it will last a long time.I don’t use pepper, but this would be perfect for both salt and pepper with the 2 separate sides. I just fill both with salt. I bought 2 of these so my wife could have one. Well worth the money and we are very pleased.

Perfect for salt & pepper!
Best addition to my lunch box in years! Love this little thing. Buying more for camping & backpacking. Might even stock up now (way early) for stocking stuffers at Christmas. Would recommend.

Perfect little container for seasoning on the go
I found this container to be ideal for seasoning food when I'm out on a trip, whether it be out on the campgrounds or even just at a restaurant that is lacking in good seasoning. It is very satisfying being able to whip out season salt anywhere and be able to use it on anything. Would recommend.

Good but no reason to be $17-
I have several of these and they are great but they are usually around $10 which is high a price for this considering other travel containers being $2-4. However there is No reason for it to be $17 right now on 1/21/25 currently on MSR site they are $9.95. They are tough to open but they need to be so you don't dump the spice all over your bag. The rubber seal inside the pull off lid is good but does look like it would wear down after years of use.

EXCELLENT shaker set at an exceptional price
What can you say, it's MSR, and it's built like most everything MSR builds, high-quality. Compared to others (Coghlan's, etc.), the price is VERY competitive and the product is 10x better quality.I have 6 of these now, one in the lunch box, one in my wife's, one in each of our backpacks, and one in each of our quick-trip fanny packs. Just can't beat them.FOLLOW UP:Having had these for several years now, my wife and I have come to the conclusion that we agree to disagree on this shaker. I LOVE IT, she doesn't. I use it in a backpack and lunchbox, she uses it solely in her lunch pack. You'd think that I'd be the one having complaints or troubles out of the shaker due to being more active, but for whatever reason, she has several complaints on hers (even after we swapped them, mine-for-hers). Her complaints are that the 'pull-plug' on the ends that lets the salt or pepper come out are too-easily jarred open in the lunch box, leading to spills. I said, 'hey, why not put a rubber band over it lengthwise to hold them down?', her reply of course was 'that's too much effort, they should have thought of that'. I have NEVER had mine come unplugged, even when hiking, climbing up into a treestand, etc., so I really don't know what makes hers unplug and dump - again, she took one of mine, and said it still happened. She was also infurated when someone went into her lunchbox at work (open cooler locker), and intentionally stole JUST the MSR shaker from her lunch (seems thieves like MSR, too). She instead got a screw-top Coghlan's, and hasn't had a complaint about it since. So...for her, the Coghlan's worked. For me, I've dumped more salt in my backpack than on my food with Coghlan screw-top shakers, so I'll keep my MSR. Since I wrote this review, I'll keep the 5-stars, but be aware, those end pull-plugs seem to cause some people fits (I think she's just ramming too much into her lunchbox, or something, and it is beating the plugs out - but I can't prove it).

Work Perfectly
Why did you pick this product vs others?:You’ll need a few for all your spices but the lids hold tight. The bottle will hold a label and the quantity is a perfect amount.

Yes, it's small. But it's really big.
OK, this spice shaker is grossly overpriced at nearly $11. However, for my purposes, I was willing to buy.The shaker is small enough to not take up a lot of space in my camping / backpacking supplies, but it actually holds nearly 3-teaspoons in each side. The shaker is 2-5/8" tall. The seals are good. The plastic is not the kind that will shatter or crack if dropped.MSR also make a single-ended version that will hold just one spice. I have that one as well (for all-purpose seasoning) and this one I use for salt and pepper. While some reviews might complain about the small size, for my purposes, 3-teaspoons of any spice is a LOT to use over the course of even 4 or 5 days camping for two or three people. But some people use more spices than I do. :-)As a small, durable, nearly waterproof spice container - I am satisfied.

Best shaker
Best shaker I've used. I take one to work as I eat eggs every day, and have one in my hunting pack for cooking in remote areas. Love it
