This pendant is lovely, and a very attractive way to use natural essential oils to fragrance the car. I bought it in January and enjoyed it for several months. However, one day I opened the car to find that the bottom half which holds the glass bottle had fallen off and spilled its contents into the interior of my car. On examining it, I saw that the metal screw ring had come apart from the wooden top. It appeared to have been simply wedged in, as I couldn’t see any glue.I cleaned up the mess and wedged the ring back in again, this time with some strong glue to hold it. It lasted a few more months before the same thing happened again. I have tried another brand of glue, and had another failure.I can only surmise that the wood and metal expand and contract at different rates as the temperature inside the car fluctuates, and that eventually any glue will fail. It’s a shame as this is a very attractive design, and I really wanted this to work for my car. I can’t to continue to use it and risk oils spilling onto my upholstery, however.

Looks lovely but hard to smell the oils. The cork provided for the bottle stayed in the first time I used it but after I took it out, it wont go back in.

I really like this Acorn, It is really unique and stylish. I only give 4 star because the silver part fell off of the lid, I have to glue it again. The seller could you make it stronger so that it stays with the lid tightly, just a bit advise will make it perfect. Thanks

The magnets fall out loads and we had the whole thing fall apart once while driving so I'm scared to put oil in it now

The wood is soo porous that it leaks. After jiggling around hanging from my rear view mirror the scent pooled at the bottom of the acorn and dripped all over my dashboard causing huge blisters. I would not recommend using it in a car.

Lovely looking. Easy to use, the main part of the acorn is held to the top by 4 magnets. Like that you can add a piece of cotton wool inside the glass bottle and add your oil to this. I have used without the jar lid. I get a light fragrance from the oil. Would have liked this to be a stronger smell. Will try another brand of oil when need more supplies

Well made and very tactile. The only criticisms are that instructions would have been good (ie to tell you to use cotton wool etc) and, that the box is taped up with Amazon labelling in such a way, that it ruins the box if you try to remove it. It is OK for yourself, I guess, but it is a shame... as it's a lovely box too... and if it has been bought as a gift, it is even more of a shame, and you can't exactly check the item over before giving it as a present either... as the box would be ruined.

I really like this. The scent of the oils I use seems to disappear quicker than I'd like, but it's lovely when it's topped up and your car smells of Sicilian bergamot! HahaActually, the metal sleeve on the inside (for the two parts to screw together) came out at one point. Took two seconds to superglue back in position but could have been nasty if it was full of oil at the time. If you buy one, check the threaded bit is properly glued in before you use it.
