Amazing little hand tool
I have a grinder that won’t be here for a month. I received my new espresso machine and needed a decent grinder for it. I did not want to spend a lot of money since I paid a lot of money for the grinder mentioned above. I ended up buying this hand grinder. Surprisingly it grinds extremely well. I use it mostly for drink milks. The 25 click/grind setting works amazing for my lattes. The extraction was perfect. Lots of crema. Very good flavor. I can’t comment on durability but setup and usability and amazing.

Lasted 6 months. Poor customer service.
Grinder broke in under 6 months of less than daily use. As disappointing as this is, I gave normcore customer service a chance to make things right by contacting them with a photo and reporting that the grinder was now unusable, along with my proof of purchase. Initially I was told I'd receive a replacement grinder with a message "not to contact amazon." After waiting over 2 weeks, I have not received any replacement. Don't waste your time with normcore.

Decent grinder with some issues
The Normcore grinder is an okay option for a semi-budget grinder, with conical burrs and a high number of adjustment clicks. Unfortunately, there are a few issues that prevent me from giving it a full five-star review, especially compared to others in the price range, like the Timemore offerings. The unit does not have a folding handle, which means that with the top cover and crank handle attached, it tends to tip over. Many other grinders are like this though, so I can't fault it for that alone. One major issue I did experience that I have not with other grinders, though, is that the rubber ring for grip isn't attached by anything other than friction. When grinding at smaller sizes or anything requiring more force, the ring tends to slip a bit, requiring a very strong grip on the body of the grinder.Another issue I experienced was with grinds landing on top of the rim of the grinds cup, leading to some spillage when unscrewing it. While this might not be a big issue, it's still an annoyance that other grinders don't experience, and can lead to a bit of a mess and wasting of grinds. The anodizing of the grinder also feels a bit less sturdy, and feels like edges or threads might wear through eventually. The accessories that come with the grinder, such as the brush and blower, and hard shell case, are quite handy, and the grinder itself does grind fairly well. However, due to the issues I experienced, I would prefer a different product if the price was the same.

Very nice manual coffee grinder. Pretty expensive, but can you put a price on good coffee?
I really enjoy drinking piping hot coffee that's brewed from freshly-ground coffee beans, but when I'm camping during the summer, I don't generally have access to electricity, so I've had to pre-grind sufficient coffee beans to last me through my camping trips, which is not ideal. This manual coffee grinder fixes that problem. When I received this coffee grinder, I was impressed by the quality of the packaging as well as the quality of the grinder and accessories. It arrived in a black, giftable box, and includes a really nice zippered carry case, the grinder body and operating handle, and a couple of cleaning tools. All the parts fit nicely in the zippered case. The grinder itself is a tank! It weighs around 1 pound, so its got some heft. The body of the grinder is anodized aluminum, and is perfectly finished and comfortable to hold. There is a small cup that screws onto the base of the grinder to collect the grounds, and it features a rubber pad on the bottom, so the whole grinder sits very securely on the counter, with no chance of sliding around. The grinding handle has a comfortably sized knob on the end. Around the outside of the grinder is a rubber contraption. Turns out it's designed to allow you to store the grinding handle with the grinder body (if you don't want to use the case). The knob on the handle has a small hole in the side, which clicks into place on the top of the grinder (attaches to the operating shaft), and the shaft of the handle locks into a groove in that rubber contraption. Pretty slick design! The operating shaft that's attached to the conical burr grinding assembly spins effortlessly, so it's apparently rotating on some good quality bearings. The coarseness of the grind is adjusted by twisting a screw on the bottom of the grinder. It's nicely labeled so you can easily see which way to twist the screw to adjust the grind. In use, the grinder produces a very consistent grind. It does take some time to grind the coffee! I guess this is to be expected, but the end results are well worth it! The grinder only holds maybe 20 grams of beans, so enough for a cup or so through a pour-over coffee maker. You could fill it multiple times if you need to brew a larger batch of coffee. My only concern with this grinder has to do with the collection cup at the bottom of the grinder. It uses some pretty coarse threads, so it takes less than one complete rotation to unscrew and remove. While this is handy when it comes to quickly removing the cup, it also makes it very easy to accidentally unscrew the cup while in use, resulting in spilled grounds. A finer thread would have been a better option for this application.Overall, I'm very happy with this grinder. For the currently advertised price of $89.99 as of the time of this review, it's a pretty pricey indulgence. But, if you're in the market for a really nice manual coffee grinder, I would suggest you give this one some strong consideration.
