It’s really good at curing thoroughly through thick polygel. And Thick layers of gel. I have had quite a few lamps but this one is a 10/10 especially for 39 dollars. The timer starts once you place in your hand. It has a sensor so once you remove your hand it stops. And restarts at the time you press.
