Got the job done
This did exactly what I needed it to do. Our poor portable ac was struggling because the fins were so clogged with dust and yuck. This made cleaning them effortless! I did have a very small section with bent fins that I couldn't get straightened out, but, what I really needed it for was to get them cleaned off. The "rake" did a good job of loosening up the grime and the brush did a good job of cleaning the rest. Definitely recommend!

Happy I bought it
I was concerned cleaning my wall ac unit and these tools made it easy plus won't damage the coils which is why I purchased it very happy

The combs do not fan out
Just use a paint scraper - when sliding the plastic containing band towards the handle, the combs, bristles, whatever you call them, do not fan out.
