This is a very good gaming laptop (for the price)!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I actually looked up what other nerds said worked good for cost and this was the winner. It's pretty great! Thanks, my fellow nerds who also despise building computers themselves!! I've been using it to play Enshrouded!Performance:I've tried multiple games and have zero complaints. This is a surprisingly sturdy laptop. I did not expect it to perform as well as it does. It can get a little hot, so I keep it on a cooled desk when playing demanding games. It's very fast and looks beautiful. I hated myself for spending so much on a laptop at first, but now I have no regrets. It actually works so well I'm migrating to it as my main computer. I haven't turned my desktop on in 3 months now.

Awesome! Worth every cent!
I have had this laptop for 6 months now and I absolutely love it!! It handles AAA games quite reasonably. It tends to heat up some with intense gaming so I'm personally considering a cooling fan for underneath. The vividness of the screen is amazing. The fans are very quiet unless doing something intensive. Someone (CinCin) Stated that this isn't a true 16" but only 13". and also stated that the 17" is only 15". Untrue as what they measured was across when it should be measured on a diagonal. At any rate, I love ASUS, the sale deal I got on it was fantastic. It is upgradable which is really important to me. This laptop is a genuine little powerhouse. Worth every cent. I highly recommend!!!

Good laptop
Good laptop, recommend upgrading the ram, it’s fast. 1 tb of memory really isn’t enough but it has two slots. Plays most games in high settings well. The design feels modern and sleek. Rgb is kinda cool, it can get a little hot but the airflow is really good.

Awesome gaming laptop
I waited a year to submit a review. Bought this last year during prime sale and my son has used it daily since then for gaming and school. Too many hours a day for me to be happy about.... It has turned out to be an excellent laptop with no problems or issues. Brilliant color and has never had issues with any of the many games he plays. He is thrilled with the graphics and storage. Survived the usual bumps and drops back and forth to middle school daily. It was more expensive than I intended to pay but has turned out to be a great purchase and my son loves it.

Amazing machine
It's a big and beautiful laptop that slurps up all games like jam while staying very quiet by laptop standards. Expect high framerates and few frame dips thanks to high CPU limits, but with a few caveats.Pros:1. It is insanely fast and quiet. Balanced mode fans are around 40 dB (about as quiet as a desktop) but you can make them run much louder in Turbo mode.2. Good display. The 165Hz screen is quite good and fast, slightly better gamut then my previous laptop. The 16:10 ratio is also really nice for games and productivity apps. Mine has a slight green tint but only when using the iGPU, switching to Nvidia removes it. Which means it's probably a software issue (see "Cons" below)3. It runs cool. While playing endgame Dyson Sphere Program (basically a CPU stress test) the CPU doesn't even reach 80 degrees and manages to squeeze out 60+ fps where my old Ryzen 7 4800H would crap out and struggle to cough up 35 fps.Cons:1. Asus software is horrible, it's like it was coded by interns. This is the main reason I took one star off the review, out of the box MyAsus and Armoury Crate hog CPU and RAM and are constantly fighting against Windows' settings and each other. They can cause constant freezes and weird bugouts like the screen colors going haywire. Even after replacing them with G Helper, there are still a few lingering issues I have to be wary of.2. Bad battery life. Out of the box it runs like 5 hours max, 4 hours if you disable the screen battery saver (60 Hz is nauseating). Definitely going to need to lug that huge power brick around.3. The middle fan is very high-pitched like the ones you'd find in thinner laptops. It can be distracting for some, personally I'm on the fence. It is still very quiet and even gets drowned out by external speakers or headphones.4. Gaudy design. The lightbar is obviously annoying and the keys are pretty much unreadable without backlight on, which I really hate. The 4-zone RGB keyboard is also poorly executed, it looks patchy and has very limited color range. Typing on it feels very good though, it has full-size keys, high travel and good feedback. I just wish it had a numpad or a dedicated Home, End, PgUp and PGDown keys, there's a lot of wasted space on the deck.Overall I'm still very happy with my package, would recommend it to anyone who wants a well cooled laptop with insanely high performance with a tradeoff of portability and battery. And Asus, please fix your damn software.

Excellent purchase! I’m really pleased with it.
My computer crashed and I wanted to get an even better replacement. This one definitely filled that need. I’m extremely happy with it. It’s super fast, easy to navigate and doesn’t overheat. One reason I wanted to buy it is the keyboard is excellent and the storage was also a big deciding factor. The speakers are pretty good too, although they probably could stand a little improvement. I have to say that I’m really impressed with it. This laptop has excellent ratings for a reason. Highly recommend it!

Very impressed 👏
I've been playing on the laptop for a week now and let me say this is a beast of a gaming machine! This laptop runs games very smooth and fast, Asus really made this laptop with care because the durability is not cheap like most gaming laptops I've owned. I also have to mention the cooling on this laptop they have surprised me every single day.
