KETTLER Sao Paulo II Go Kart

This is the third go kart we have bought in the past three years. We are delighted with it, but not as much as our 6 year old grandson is! He loves the new black and orange colour. I'm sure it will be as robust as the other two purchased. Our granddaughters, now 8 and 5, love theirs, as do the other children in the village. We fitted bike lights front and rear for some night time fun whizzing around. The go karts go fairly fast so I would recommend supervision!The rubber wheels are great and make a lot less noise than some other wheeled products we have purchased. My husband assembled it fairly quickly, having assembled the other two, but was a bit confused putting the steering column on as the instructions seemed to indicate there was a part missing! A few anxious minutes and head scratching, and he got it assembled and one very happy little boy went whizzing down the garden.

This was very frustrating to put together, I believe that the screws to put on the steering column were too long and would not keep it in place. Or that they should have put bolts in that did not have heads on, so you could screw them tight. I have sent Kettler an email and the response I received was:Thank you for your email, are the bolts you are referring to the ones that hold the main steering column to the frame which is stage 1 on the drawing, these do cause confusion as they are locking nuts which means when you casually turn them the will stop you need to force the bolt and nut together this is when they cut into each other therefore taking the slack out the fixing the size is not incorrect, it’s the instruction in the manual which does not state this this.I still believe that the screws were too long. And had I waited till the night before my son's birthday to put this together, my son would not have had a go kart for his birthday.Once the go kart is put together with the correct screw's, it does seem fine.

Our 5 year old had lots of fun today on it, the responsive steering is fun for him. The main problem was that it arrived on his birthday but I am certain it had the wrong length of screws to attach the steering column. I had to use the longer screws, which were too long with the non-screw-through bolts, so my son had to ride a Kart with wobbly steering with tin foil trying to keep it tight! Not ideal

Only giving four stars as i opened it on Christmas eve to find some screws missing and some that were far to small. Thankfully we had some screws that we were able to use. I was surprised because it is a good brand that I trusted hence why I didn't check before then. Apart from that it is great. It's a good size and very sturdy.

More expensive than other Karts but much better than what we looked at in Toys r Us. My Grandson is four and it was a perfect size for him with what I hope is a year or maybe twos growth in it.

Great product.Would have been a five star review had they managed to include all the correct screws. I had to make a last minute trip to Homebase…..which was a pain in the neck.

20 mins to assemble then my Grand daughter was away.She loves it. Seems sturdy and well made.(German company) Should last well.All in all happy with it up to now.

Very easy to build took 15-20 mins max. Bought as xmas pressie so not used yet but just know will be loved and used for many years. Looks impressive & built to last. Great price to, bit cheaper than all top toy retaiers. Had a screw missing as only downside but expected that anyway - not a problem if your a screw hoarder like me lol.
