Some of them sound like the reviewer expected a hot tasty burrito and was disappointed to bite into a dry cake. Not fair: these are exactly what they are designed to be.So what to expect. These bars, like genuine hardtack, are very dry, and well sealed in vacuum, supporting the shelf life claims. The shelf life was important to me. I sampled one without any water and had no problem chewing and swallowing. Water or fluids at the meal would help though. The texture was like a hard cookie, like vanilla wafers only thicker. So not at all difficult to break off or chew. The flavor (describing here the coffee flavor) was very good, and the coffee one includes coffee powder in the ingredients, so while caffeine is not measured on the product label, expect a bit of a lift. Also as many other reviewers describe, the flavor is not overly sweet. There's 20g of sugar in the bar, and I'd prefer less myself. But as far as the flavor goes it's the right amount of sweetness, and if you really are in an emergency, admittedly the sugar can be beneficial.I have no criticisms at all really. I'd prefer the product be made in the USA, not China, but I have to admit that these are well designed, good tasting (no chemical taste or aftertaste at all), and very well and consistently made.Overall these are really excellent, and will last a long time on the shelf (or in the bug out box). Do not hesitate to try them.

Extremely long storage time, individually vacuum packed and decent flavor. Overall good choice for get home bag or car glove box.

Got them for an easy to store supply of emergency food & the price seemed pretty good considering you get 12 of them when some other similar products cost almost as much just for one or two. They're easy on space since they're pretty compact. Tried one to see how they were. The multivitamin flavor tasted a bit bland so they could have done more to give them better taste but it was still decent enough to eat & finish. They're also a bit dry so you'll probably want to drink lots of water while eating them or mix them in milk. The packaging could have been better thought out. The edges are pretty sharp so you gotta be careful not to cut yourself on them. The clear plastic wrapping on the inside protecting the bars is a bit hard to open by hand so you'll want a knife or something to get them open. Also the nutrition facts could have been better setup. It's a bit confusing since it all seems to be in kilograms & doesn't show all what you'd expect on a proper nutrient facts label. The shelf life is for just about 20 years because it says mine expire in January 1st 2044 & got mine in August 2024. Overall they're decent emergency food bars & I think they'll come in handy if there ever is a problem with regular food access in an emergency.

Exactly what you would expect from a military grade energy bar with a long shelf life. Tastes okay, like a big dry Shortbread cookie. Have something to drink on the side just in case.

I feel that the original tastes better than this.

It has a great taste and is very condensed. Don't eat this whole bar if you don't want to be constipated.

I was browsing for emergency energy food bars and came a cross this one, the price was right and what caught my eye it said its multi vitamin bar so I bought it, it came well packed no damages or tears on packaging, expiration date is 2043 so I decided to try one piece since I felt hungry so I wanted to see if it actually will make you feel full, well to a surprice there is two pieces per package I only ate one and I am actually not hungry anymore and feeling full like I just had a regular meal, The taste was awesome not over sweet like others, I love it its sweet a little and tastes like wheat cookies great taste I will buy more because they just went on sale. I recommend it for emergencies food shortage.
