Handy little winder box fits in my fly fishing vest nicely with dry fly rigs on the spools

Excellent packaging and manufacture, but not practical at all really. The spool beds are shallow and so don’t hold much line. Good for strands for rigs maybe?

If you want to swap quickly between rigs, or you want store your existing rigs, or perhaps it's just easier to tie more complicated rigs at home, then foam spools are a good option.These are fairly small sized so more suitable for freshwater, fly, or course fishing. It'd need to be a very small sea rig to fit onto these.One thing I really like about these particular foam spools is that they have a cut-out section that allows you to lock the rig in place. Just remove the cut-out, run the end of the line through the hole, and then replace the cut-out section. This prevents your rigs from unravelling without having to use an elastic bands.I also appreciate the inclusion of the sturdy clear plastic hard case. Great for keeping everything together.Overall I'm very happy with these foam spools. Just what I was looking for.
