This is my favorite brand of otoscope. I have used it in my clinical practice and now have given these to my kids.

I bought this to use on my elderly mother when she had a problem in one of her ears. She had a huge blockage of earwax and couldn't hear. I had to buy one of those battery powered ear cleaners that shoot water in the ear. It was very gentle and didn't hurt her. This otoscope assisted when I had to stop and check if the wax had dislodged at all. Then after wax came out, I had a clear view of her eardrum and saw that it looked fine. It gives a great view of the ear canal and the eardrum so you can see if there is any redness, infection or blockages going on in the ear. It's all you need if you want to have a look in the ear. It worked for us and I recommend it.

My kids have chronic issues with ear wax build up and ear infections. Running them to the doctor every time they complained of ear pain, just to be told they couldn't get a clear view of the ear drum to determine if there was an infection was costly and defeating. I purchased this product and some debrox to help monitor ear wax concerns. I have been finally able to get that under control and this tool allows you to view everything inside the ear to determine if there is an ear infection or not. It also comes with a helpful handout of what a typical ear drum versus an infected ear drum looks like. There are 3 attachments depending on the size of the ear being examined. I use the smallest attachment on my 3 and 1 year old with no concerns. In fact, they ask for me to check their ears! Very happy with the purchase and for saving me unnecessary doctor visits!

Amazing tool. I have a toddler that has had a few ear infections but doesn’t typically does not get ear pain with them. The last infection I was able to see his ear was infected myself, using this tool, and then bring him to an urgent care for the right medication. It’s small enough and is easy enough to store.

I bought this otoscope because my little guy frequently gets ear infections but after getting rocephin shots in the Spring he is afraid of telling me his ear hurts. This otoscope arrived on a Friday afternoon. That night my little guy woke up crying in the middle of the night because his 'head' hurt, but he was holding near his left ear. He went back to bed but then woke up shortly after. He & I slept the rest of the night on the couch so that he was sleeping more upright. By the morning he told me his head & his ear felt all better and his temperature was slightly higher than usual but not a fever. His doctor office has Saturday hours until 12:30 but you have to call right away to be able to get an appt. I was hesitant to take one of the few available appointments if his ear was indeed better (2 weeks ago we had gone to dr based on him saying his ears & eyes hurt and he was perfectly fine) but I also didn't want him to suffer until monday if he did have an ear infection. Thank goodness I had bought this otoscope...i checked his left ear & sure enough it was very red like the example shown on the back of the otoscope package. Checked his right ear & it looked fine like the image of a healthy ear the package showed. We went to the dr & he had a left ear infection. This otoscope is very simple to use & works great! I also greatly appreciate the pictures on the back of the package showing a healthy vs infected ear. This was a great & inexpensive buy!!
