Wireless Doorbell, VOXON Waterproof Wall Plug-in Cordless Door Chime IP44 Kit With CD Quality Sound and Blue LED Flash 58 Melodies to Choose-Grey This is an attractive looking doorbell, it seems well made with the body being quite solid and fairly heavy for it's size, it is plastic but looks to be good quality tough plastic. The main unit fits into a single 3 pin power socket, it's slim enough to allow room for other plugs to be plugged in alongside. The control buttons are along the left-hand side so the unit would need to be plugged into either a single wall socket or the left hand side of a double wall socket. (or extension)There are four buttons which give a solid click when depressed, the buttons control volume up/down, music selection and setup which is used to pair the transmitter to the base unit, there are 4 volume levels to choose from. You can have just a flashing LED with no sound, sound only or sound plus LED. There are 58 sounds to choose from so there should be something to suit all tastes. The range is 200 metres so there shouldn't be any issues with this going out of range.The push button looks well built and seems to be sealed to keep dampness out. You are supplied with a double sided sticky pad to fix the push button to your door frame. You could also drill 2 holes through an indent on the push button casing if you wish to secure it with screws (which are supplied) but to be honest a screw fixing may allow water to creep into the push button if not sealed. Once the battery is enabled there is an illuminated blue ring around the centre button which looks quite attractive. I ordered this doorbell as my previous one had malfunctioned. Really easy to set up, straight out of the box and working in a minute or two. Simply take out the plastic tab protecting the battery on the actual doorbell. The button can then be installed at your front door by either using the double sided sticky pad (for ease) or by using the rawl plugs and screws (all supplied). I personally used the screws but the sticky pad is almost the size of the doorbell itself, which is not very heavy, so I would imagine that it would be quite sturdy if you chose to install it that way.All you need to do then is to plug in your 'receiver' wherever you want it. I have mine in the kitchen.There are 4 buttons down the side of the receiver unit - volume up and down buttons, the melody choice button and the audio/display function button. There are a huge number of melodies to choose from and as I prefer a traditional bell sound I did have to scroll my way through a fair few to find the one I wanted. You then also have a choice of how the signal is processed when someone rings the bell - you can choose to have it with or without a blue light and with or without the melody. I didn't actually think this feature would be that useful however I work from home and when my doorbell rings my dog goes berserk...leading me to sometimes unplug the receiving unit if I need peace and quiet. I can no simply switch the unit to 'light only' and see the blue light when someone is at the door. I would imagine the blue light is also really useful for those with hearing impediments.The quality of the sound isn't brilliant but it's a doorbell and doesn't really need to be fantastic.All in all, for the money, it's really good value and super easy to get up and running.Recommended!

This is a great wireless doorbell, really easy to use with nice features. I bought it for my father-in-law as a simple solution to having to fit a wired device. In the box is the Transmitter (battery powered), Receiver (plug-in), screws and bracket and sticky pad for fixing the transmitter, instructions.Although there are instructions for pairing the transmitter and receiver, mine came already paired.The instructions are thorough and it is actually really easy to use. There are 4 buttons on the receiver:1.Volume Up2..Volume Down3. Music selection4. Set-up button to choose between Light & Ring Tone, Light, RingtoneIt is advertised as having a 200m range, I tested it from the very back of my garden which is 40m and it worked great. There is a good volume range with the highest being very loud indeed which is great because my father-in-law is hard of hearing.The receiver simply plugs into a socket and the transmitter can either be stuck onto the wall with the adhesive pad (supplied) or screwed on with the supplied screws and brackets.When the transmitter button is pressed a blue ring lights up around the button. A light also comes up on the transmitter if you have it set that way. There are 58 ring tones to choose from, all of which can be heard very clearly and some which are very elaborate but perhaps not what you'd want to hear when someones at the door. Either way a great choise, and the standard doorbell sound is there.Overall, this is a great wireless doorbell with excellent volume and range of ringtones and easy to fit and operate. I reccommend it.
