They fit and they work.
Got these for my MS170 and they work great. The trick with the stihl caps are to use your hands as well as the chainsaw tool to tighten and loosen. Only tighten as far as you grip+a little torque in the center will go. Do not over tighten and you won't bore the keyhole out like I did with my originals. No leaks, even though these are not as robust as the OEM, they work.

Fits ms170
Boss couldn't find any Stihl caps for sale so I got this for the oil cap I broke at work. Fits both oil and gas tank on the ms170. As usual hate that it's made in China :(

What you need as a replacment
Did what I expected plastic is much thicker than the others I have gotten so quality is better. Gasket seals well and oil no longer leaks.
