Outstanding light weight and portable support for heavy items
We were looking for inexpensive ways to support equipment at a trade show recently and these stands were the answer. We had a live demo of a cloud platform and the server, plus its shipping container and peripherals, weighed about 180 lbs. Renting tables from the conference center was extremely expensive and we also weren't sure if we could get something that would support all that weight in such concentrated space. When looking for alternatives we realized that DJs had already solved this problem as they have a lot of heavy portable equipment as well. We picked up two of these and put a small MDF "table top" on them to make a "table" out of them. They ended up working perfectly and supported all the equipment in our booth. We covered the "legs" of these by purchasing some form fitting covers which hid the "table top" and the legs. You wouldn't know the difference between these and a regular table when simply looking at them. The best part is that they are easily portable. They are light weight and fold up nicely into a "T." It made booth setup and tear-down a breeze.Great tool for portable needs when you need to support something heavy.

Excelent stand for my Hammond organ
Excellent stand for my Hammond. The pedals had to fit underneath of course. Easy to assemble and disassemble. compact to fit in car, and sturdy to match..Good buy IMO.

No better digital keyboard stand period, at least at this price point
I was using those "x-type" stands for a while, and although they work just fine, my knees would hit the frame ever so often, and would hurt like hell. Also, the stands were cheaply made, and were wobbly, which didn't instill a high level of confidence that it would keep my Roland safe. My friend turned me onto this stand, and I won't ever turn back. If you look on the Quik Lok website, there's a large speaker sitting on this stand, although the legs are also adjustable to fit a full keyboard perfectly. The Roland NX700 is a beast of a keyboard, that's one of the heavier on the market and this stand supports it just fine. The best part is the open space under the keyboard so you can move your legs with ease.

Great instant table!!!
I like the design and it's very compact and sturdy. I like how you can raise the height of the individual legs as I used this initiall on an uneven surface. My only gripe would be is that you actually have to provide the flat surface over it to make it a standard 'table'. Keyboards would be fine but as I am a DJ, I can't just plop my DJ set on there without putting a working surface underneath first. I'll have to end up buying that surface, like buying a sheet of plywood and then cutting out the right size I need. Still a great stand though.

*SUPER STOKED* - couldn't be Happier!!!
After much research, lookin' at different Keyboard Stand types/configurations/manufacturers.....I decided on the Quik Lok WS-550 and ordered it. It arrived shortly after with no problem:- Perfect, brand new condition- No missing or wrong parts- No assembly required- Ready to go!All's I had to do was swing each leg open....adjust the height....And WALA, I was set! It's VERY FAST to setup n' breakdown for gigs. You can do it under a minute! What I also like is the rock-solid feel of having 4 strong legssupporting my Yamaha MOXF8 (88 key) instrument. It's likehaving it on a sturdy workbench or table: It ain't movin'!I can play with a full range of dynamics. Even when I attackthe keys very hard, there is *ZERO* shakiness, side-to-sideor back n' forth wobble. The way Quik-Lok built this stand, there is no chance for sudden, catastrophic, collapse or failure.Which is a BIG problem with other stands. There's nothing worsethan having your prize instrument gear go crashing to the ground! The other thing too that I really like about the WS-550 is:Unlike many of the other typical stand designs, underneath youhave a large, roomy area for your pedals, or to stash whatever. But most importantly.....TOTAL FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT for your feet and legs!So if you had too much sugar or caffein before a performance, and you're about ready to burst at the seams with excitement....No problem! There's plenty of room to energetically move and flail your limbsaround as you very happily express n' play your music to a wildand appreciative crowd!(speaking of wild)Even if that means your audience is your lone pet hamsteror snake in your home studio bedroom.....Hopefully your most loyal, die-hard fan isn't a pet hamsterhangin' halfway out a pet snake's mouth.((( HAHA )))

No leg lock
I like everything about the stand except that the legs cannot be locked into a position. It is a sturdy stand but if a leg gets knocked and swings around then that could be catastrophic.

Two Stars
The second tier for the second keyboard shown above was never included with this.

works fine; what I expected
I think this is a perfectly good stand for holding a single keyboard and that's all I was looking for. I didn't really realize ahead of time that the legs are adjustable to fixed lengths -- there are stops. I had expected it to just have screws or something so I could adjust it to any height. However, it was easy to find a stop that worked for me; so it's cool.
