Cocochoco Professional Brazilian Keratin Formaldehyde Free Hair Treatment, 250 ml

I have used this product for straightening and smoothing my hair on and off for a few years now. I did once use a different brand and it wrecked my hair, so I went back to this tried and trusted brand, which has always given the best result.The formula has a lot of natural ingredients that help improve and strengthen your hair and a bit of a sickly chocolatey smell, however when applied to the hair, it has a very strong and toxic vapour that can sting your eyes and make you cough. I always apply it in a well-ventilated room but I would recommend wearing a mask as well when you need to blow dry the product once it has been on your hair for the recommended 30 minutes. Whilst it doesn't contain formaldehyde, there is definitely some other form of chemical in there as the steam that it gives off is really chemically and cloying.It isn't very pleasant to apply and I'd go so far to say that I really don't enjoy it, however the results for my hair are always good. No pain, no gain, I guess!Once applied, the recommendation is to leave the hair for a minimum of 72 hours, so it will mean you might get greasy hair like I do after a few days, however when you wash it out eventually, it does feel very satisfying and the result afterwards is always smooth.Whilst there are these aforementioned downsides to the product, I would still recommend it if you have frizzy, wavy hair and would like to make your styling regime easier and your hair look smoother.

So I did watch a YouTube video before so knew what I was getting into. There is a strong smell that kinda burns your nose when doing the drying & straightening steps but as long as you sit near a window and try dry away from your face it’s not terrible.But overall I think this was great ! I have medium length hair and used about a quarter of the bottle so well worth the money. Iv washed it once now after treatment and what a an absolute treat doing my hair was usually drying and styling my hair takes forever. And I literally blasted my hair for 5 mins then changed to a round brush to finish it off for another 5 mins and that it. No crazy hair after drying it’s super shiny and all my baby hair and frizz has been tamed. I don’t know how long it will last but it seems well worth the money to me. I don’t seem to have any damage but I did get a good hair cut before I done this so my hair was pretty healthy

Iv got long thick wavey hair and I can get about 4 uses out of this small bottleDefinitely open up all your windows when using this as the fumes are very strong,I washed my hair with apple cider vinegar and water to get rid of shampoo build upThen applied the keratin treatment to dry hair and dried & straightened again.Hair feels so soft and smooth and looks shiny gets rid of frizzYour ment to then leave your hair down for three days and not to wash itUsing this means I can keep my hair straight for longer or if I want the waves to come out there more manageable less frizzLasts about 3 or 4 months

I am an hairdresser and I have been using cocochoco for more than 3 years. I have never had any problem until today when I had to stop the treatment to a client because I had a really bad burning feeling at the back of my throat and inside my nose and my eyes got really itchy and watery. Luckily client understood why I preferred to stop the treatment and now I would like to return an unopened box back but Amazon says I am not allowed to return it.DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT

I have used a few different brands of keratin before, but hadn’t in a while and thought I’d try this one. It smells nice initially, but while drying and straightening the pain in my nose, throat and eyes was almost unbearable.. and that was with windows and doors open.it did the job and my hair does feel stronger, but I don’t think I would be able to use it again

Really good however nowhere on the box or bottle does it show formaldehyde free & formaldehyde has a chemical composition name in ingredients so won’t show as ‘formaldehyde’ in the list to check ?

Easy to use but use sparingly or it really does make your eyes water.I’ve used very little product and 2 months in my hair is sleek and shines still.
