I bought this watch many years ago, and I wear it when I go surfing every time. I'm happy it still works. Only once a button was not functioning, and I didn't do anything. The following week, it's working again. I have not figured out how to use the tide diagram. Even without it, it is still worth the money.

I really like the watch. But their are no band replacements out their. And I have issues wearing plastic for long periods. Why they would make a watch with no band replacements is beyond me. The watch it self is a bit bulky but easy to read. I like the watch but until they make it less bulky and and make some metal replacement bands I will not buy again.

I bought this just for the tide function. I'm an engineer and have been messing with it for two hours with still no luck. Basically there is a TC (tide calculation mode) where you are supposed to enter the time of the high tide. Unfortunately no matter what time, day, month, year, you put in, it doesn't actually set the high tide. It basically pins that function to when ever it thinks it is. So when I set 2pm it moves the tide marker to low tide even though it is high. I've tried EVERY combination of buttons. There are no youtube videos to be found and the button combinations in the manual don't produce the same result. Unless you happen to live in an area where the tide just happens to be the same as how the watch came, you are out of luck!UPDATE - 7/30 I figured out if I change the year, I can affect the tide reading. I live in NJ and a year of 2011 sets the tide close enough. I'm sure the moon reading is wrong but I'm not interested in tide depth. I only want to see when it is high or low.

The function and durability of this watch is amazing. I have had this watch for over 3 years. I have used it during training exercises, hikes, runs, workouts, and even swimming it has performed very well.

Great watch for the price, the instruction are horrible though, basic time setting functions are easy but when you try to set the local tides it gets very confusing and the manual is not much help at all. there are no online instructions for it either so setting the tides you want might be frustrating. other than that the watch is great.

The watch fits well and is very easy to read. The directions included are a bit difficult to understand. There is no way to get any help online either.My husband likes the watch and likes the tide feature on it as well.

Seems that this is going to be a great watch for the money. Instructions on setting the tide is a bit confusing but it worked out. Have not put it through the ringer of daily wear and cold water surfing but so far so good.

It's probable ok if you can set it. I purchased it for the tide function. I have spent numerous hours trying to figure it out. Can't seem to figure it out. Maybe better instructions would be helpful. I wear it but am getting tired of not using this function.
