LED Tv Backlighting Complete Kit with Remote to Change Color Easy Installation. Get Ready to Party

I almost didn't buy these because of the 1 Star review and there were only 2 reviews for the backlight. I'm very glad I did. I have no problem with the remote control. It's an infared remote, it has to have a direct line of sight, and I am about 10-12 feet away and have no issues. I really like the different LED color options and the option to brighten or dim the LED's remotely. Installation was easy and I have a 60" flatscreen and had to trim off the LED strip so I was very pleased there was more than enough light. I thought the price was a little high when I bought it but now see how well worth it they are. It really does reduce eye strain with the backlight while watching a TV show or movie.

The product works well overall. I like the different colors and the remote is nice. Installation was actually a breeze and the lights were working in no time.Why then am I giving a 2 star review? The issue I had was that one of the individual strands of LED lights did not work at all. After spending about 30 minutes putting the lights together, measuring the proper lengths, attaching the lights to the back of the TV, and routing wires alongside the rear of the TV so as not to be visible while watching, I noticed that one of the strands was not lighting up. I pulled the TV from the wall and removed that section of the lights. The connector was detached. There was no way to repair these myself.I filed for a return with Amazon and made a note that I did not actually want to return the entire setup. That would have entailed removing everything from the rear of the TV and repackaging everything. Sort of pointless. I requested that the company send me 1 strand of lights only. This would have been a very practical solution and easily resolved. No response from the company or Amazon ever. Hence, 2 star review. I rarely leave negative reviews.

The first one I received was defective. After contacting the company they sent me a new one. Their customer service was great. Unfortunately, the second one didn't work quite right. All the LEDs and light patterns and colors worked fine but the range of the remote is about one foot. So even though it works, you have to be standing at the tv to use it. I contacted customer service again and have not heard from them after a week. I love the way it looks, just not the way it works.

Everything looks good so far. The adhesive seemed to be properly sticky. The double stick, tape for mounting the two small white boxes to the back of the TV was not included. The sensor for the that has to hang a bit below the bottom of the TV is white. Would have been more invisible it it had been black.

Really cool product. Can cut to size. Sticks on the back of your TV set. Easy to set up and easy to use with the remote control. Back of the TV lights up for super special effects. Not overly bright and does not interrupt TV watching. Very durable, as I have owned mine now for over two years and it works perfect...even the tape on the back of the strips still holds after I transferred the lights to my new TV. Would highly recommend.

Was very pleased with the product and remote. But after 30 minutes the remote stopped working which makes this product useless as without the remote you cannot turn the lights on or off, or change the colors. I thought it was possibly a faulty battery so went out and replaced the battery and still no results. After taking the time to place the light strips I am not wanting to take everything down to return the product.I contacted the company directly to see if I could get the remote replaced and mentioned they are sending the remote. I will update this review if and when the replacement remote shows up.

The installation was a little more messy than anticipated but no biggy. Make sure the small infrared reciever is pointed at the correct direction and not blocked. Build quality looks a little flimsy for the price, have a feeling that it is similar to a direct order from china shopping websites, not sure how long this will last.Results are ok but a white color one will do just fine, If u like changing colors, use it with the slow transition mode gives a good feel but above that nothing much to shout about. Wifey obviously isnt very impressed for the hussle i went through :)The remote control is infra-red, so u can use a universal controller to learn the signals. Remember to disconnect the battery before storing it away.
